If you want to stay at a reasonable price and have easy access to visit Venice, this is definitely the place. Do not expect luxury, safe in the room, mini bar or room service, large room or large bathroom - you get what you paid for, and for us, the hotel was what we expected to be. The room was actually good and the bathroom was of a reasonable size. All very clean. The bed was rather narrow. Getting ice was a bit of an adventure as it usually is in Europe, where they cannot understand why Americans use ice in their water. The breakfast was excellent in a small, but elegant and decorated in good taste restaurant. Free internet. Free parking. Alessandro, the manager, was extremely helpful with directions. The bus station to Venice is just around the corner. It was a good, quiet place to rest after visiting Venice.

Hotel Marco Polo was much as we expected, good location, attractive rooms, friendly serivce and reasonable prices. We had reservations for one night in early September after a Mediterranean cruise, before returning home. When we arrived and our room was not ready, we were told there was no safe available, but we could leave our luggage and valuables in a locked room next to the reservation desk. We were assured it would be locked and valuables safe. When we returned three hours later, sadly, someone stole our passport case which included our passports and two credit cards. We had to extend our stay by one day, file a police report, travel the next day to the US Consulate Office in Milan for new passports, change flights, etc. The result was an additional $700 in expenses. The Consulate advised us to file a claim with the Hotel's insurance, which we did. This all occured in September and there has been no resolution and we now can not get a response to our request of the status of our claim. Though the hotel was very nice, we could not recommed it to others. I will provide an update to this review if there is a resolution in the future.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The elevator worked well (small), 5 Euro for all day WIFI if needed and the shower was extremely small (2.5 ft sq). Otherwise somewhat friendly service, they could be a little happier but everything you needed was there including a decent breakfast. Close the bus stop as well if you taking the city bus or the AVTO bus. City bus was a lot cheaper to the Airport but AVTO was handy on arrival and transfer to the Venice bus terminal since it doesn't make any stops. The little town is in desprate need of a good restraunt. We ate at the pub across the street and choose from plastic menus.

The hotel location is out of Venice, yet, the access to the city is quick and easy.
Bus stop # 19 is in the back of the hotel and within 15 min a traveler can be in the city.
The staff were very kind and helpful. Some minor problems were solved promptly.

This hotel is in a sleepy little town just outside of Venice. We had a large room with a small balcony;very clean. On a walk around town we found a wonderful little bakery, got orange marmalade filled jelly donut. There's also a nice park to picnic in.
