When we arrived on the motorbike, we were welcomed into the restaurant even before removing our helmets!! Then the staff were sooooo friendly and kind we were convinced even before the food arrived. We are mixed veg of the season, followed by a plate of fresh pasta (made by hand by Marco) with truffles, and they showed us the truffles before the meal. The local beer was also excellent, so we will return for sure. The highlight of my Umbria tour, thanks guys!!!

We have eaten here at least 50 times over the past 3 years. Marco and Barbara, the owners, are the best! 15 minutes out of Perugia. Great umbercelli with various sauces: orco, chingale, tartuffo, etc. I usually have the tre legumes served with toast rubbed with garlic. A good place for grilled meats. The cured meats in the starter are always fresh and fine. Marco keeps a great wine collection - both red and white. The house wine is great also. Pappadelle with chingale a must try. Don't miss the warmed dessert biscuits sprinkled with velvet sugar. A trattoria/restaurant for couples or families. Local fresh products used. Worth the drive.

Thunder and lightning and a tremendous rain shower didn't prevent us from going to dinner at Al Coccio. Very nice and friendly personnel.
The antipasti was a nice, colourful and tasteful dish, with some new ingredients and not only the traditional cheese and meats. Our primi and secondi were very tasteful: papardelle al cinghiale and cinghiale with tartufo....grated at our table. We really enjoyed the evening and recommend this restaurant to all who want to enjoy the tasteful Italian cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere.

Yesterday we ate at Al Coccio the second time. Both times the food was admirably tasty especially the pasta with porcini and pecorino and Tartuffe , the pecorino forno with Tartuffe, and the veal with mushrooms. The service - very nice and full of humor.

This is a wonderful restaurant, not too far from Assisi (25km via the country side and small towns). The staff is very pleasant the food excellent. Very good selection of local (ah, local!!) wines. Been lucky to get there during a "porcino day". The house antipasto was very good and all the dishes tasteful and carefully prepared. We were very well taken care of! After the visit to Assisi it was a wonderful stop before continuing visiting Toscana!
