Found all staff to be very friendly and accommodating. The space is modern and welcoming. Michael was our waiter, very helpful with menu selections. We were a party of 4, everything that we ordered exceeded expectations. Favorites were Stuffed Zucchini Flowers and Homemade Tagliatelle with lemon arugula pesto. Grilled lamb chops with green pesto balsamic and olive oil, were also delicious. Went back for breakfast, equally as enjoyable. This is a 'don't miss'.

Really glad we happened upon the Townhouse on our last day in Tuscany. Like the other reviewer pointed out, it was a nice change to have some modern, innovative cuisine after eating typical Italian fare for a week. This was by far the best salad I had in Italy! It always surprises me that the vegetables in this country aren't fresher . . . seems to be a plethora of iceberg in those insalata mistas! Not there - the vegetables were fresh and beautiful. I also had the fried burrata, which was one of the best things I ate on the trip. My husband was also very pleased with his sausage and potato dish. The service was incredibly friendly (our waiter was the brother of the chef) and the newly renovated space was so lovely we think we'd like to spend a night or two in the hotel on our next visit.

After a week of pizza everywhere, this was a wonderful find. The menu had something for everyone from excellent pasta dishes to a hamburger so thick that you have to separate the meat from the bun. The stuffed zucchini flowers were so good that we ate there 3 times before we left the Pienza area.

In addition to the great food, the service was exceptional. Everyone in the restaurant made you feel like they were excited to see you. Could not recommend this restaurant more. We'll definitely go there the next time we're in Tuscany.

Multilingual staff made communications easy.

After touring Tuscany for a while, one grows tired of "cucina tipica," seeing the same menu in every town, at every restaurant. La Bandita was a nice escape from that, with interesting twists on traditional presentations. The restaurant itself is hip and chic, and the servers are remarkably friendly. Our host sat down at the table next to my wife to discuss our preferences and dining options. We had the good fortune to dine outdoors, though it was a bit chilly, so they provided us with blankets. I'd definitely go again, and recommend it to those lucky enough to spend time in Pienza.

Setting = just perfect. I loved being seated in the courtyard which is sunken down below the garden with the ancient buildings surrounding it.

Staff = perfect again (but we did have Francesca who is an absolute gem).

Food = a refreshing change. Exactly what we wanted (contemporary classic).

Portion sizes were just right for us (not ridiculously large) and the chocolate torte for dessert was my all time favourite.
