“great choice in center of city”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 26, 2012

We had a nice dinner here in June 2012. Quick, service, reasonable prices and very tasty food. The owner has a plan for you so just go with the flow- it is not a tourist hustle. Grilled pecorino dish was fantastic as was just about everything.
After dinner the best thing to do in Pienza is to walk up to the Duomo - literally about 50 yards away - and watch the local kids come out and play between 10 - 11pm in the main piazza after the tour crowds have gone home. totally charming thinking about the same scene playing out there for hundreds of years.

“Great, quick, and beyond affordable lunch”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 4, 2012

I visited this place for the first time 17 years ago... and hadn't been here for 12 year; luckily enough it hadn't changed. Pienza unfortunately has, as it has become very touristic and crowded by big groups.
Lunch at Sette di Vino is perect: great bruschetta's, antipasti, etc. with perfect little wines at EUR 5 for half a liter. Unfortuantely they still haven't invested in a coffee machine. Mind you, this place is very down to earth. They have upgraded from the plastic cutlery and plates though, but it is still very easy going and the owners try to help everybody as good as they can. For those who don't speak Italian, they also speak plenty of other languages, which was also very different when I came here for the first time. At the end we paid 50 EUR for the four of us. He even brought out the bottles of Vin Santo and Grappa, all on the house... You wonder how they do it.
When the weather allows, it is a perfect place to hide from what has become very crowded, touristic streets. I promised the owner to be back in 5 years, but I will try to make it a lot quicker.

“Perfect lunch for small Hunger”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 3, 2012

This small and charming osteria is perfect for a small lunch, especially if you are lucky to sit outside at the terrace. Meal is excellent and portions are not big so that you can taste different homemade dishes. Prices reasonables. Worth to wait for a table!
