“Highlight of our Holiday!!”
Reviewed July 2, 2012

We have just returned from the best holiday ever! Villa Le Torri was exceptional. Beautiful property, authentic and comfortable accommodations, warm & hospitable family. The Saturday welcome BBQ and optional traditional Italian dinner cooked by the family on the Wed. was fantastic! It truly became our home for the week and we couldn't wait to get "home" everyday after exploring Tuscany to relax by the pool, enjoy the peace and tranquility as well as the company of our new found friends. Grabrielle was so helpful with our daily outings, maps, and recommendations. The villa is located very close to Florence but without the hustle and bustle you would find staying in the city. The Tuscan bike / wine tour from the castle minutes from Le Torri was amazing...it was a highlight of our stay. We look forward to returning to Villa Le Torri soon...

When we pulled into the courtyard our hearts soared. What a beautiful place. The huge pots of trailing geraniums, gorgeous grounds, the swimming pool! The years of work on making this place as perfect as possible shows everywhere. Le Torri is exactly what you would want your place in Tuscany to be. It worked well to have a two bedroom, two bath apt. (for two couples) for a week which turned out to be a real bargain for the space we had and the exceptional quality of the villa. The Saturday Meet and Greet buffet is an inspired idea. We met some wonderful people there and had such delicious food we signed up for the Wednesday dinner. Do not miss the Wednesday dinner! We ate at a beautiful long table on the stone patio as the sun set and the moon rose. The roses were blooming and the smell of jasmine was everywhere and the food? Five courses of amazing!!! The cherry trees were full of ripe cherries and the Cantini's would set out baskets of them with a note for us to help ourselves. They truly work hard for your stay to be special and we did feel special. We also visited the Castello Sonnino for a very nice lunch/wine tasting which is very close by and you might want to spend some time at the Corsini Ceramiche shop in Montespertoli looking at the ceramics and terra cotta with the charming owner. Thank you Gabrielle and all the Cantinis for a wonderful stay. We hope to return.

We spent a week at Le Torri in May with another couple sharing Apt. #1 on the second floor.
It was simply lovely, large kitchen, 2 bedrooms, 2 baths and spectacular views from our windows.. We were able to have breakfast and some evening meals in our well equipped kitchen. Mama bottles sauce and sells it in the office so we enjoyed our own pasta one night as well as enjoying the "best" sausages done on the stone barbecue. Gabriel e started the bbq for us and gave a short lesson on how to cook the sausage.
Gabriele is a gem!! He NEVER stops. The building, grounds and pool are immaculate.
The welcome buffet Saturday night prepared by Mama is the very best in Italy!! Don't miss the optional dinner Wednesday night, you would be depriving yourself of a meal fit for Kings.
Gabriele is sooo helpful, he gave perfect directions for touring and parking for every place we visited.
Le Torri was everything we wanted and more, beyond our expectations. Thank-you Cantini family. Sandy & Dave

We were lucky enough to be recommended this wonderful place and spent a week there recently. It truly is a little slice of heaven and felt like the real Italy! Gabrielle along with his wife and parents run this beautiful historical home which comprises of 9 villas all beautifully appointed. We had a one bedroom villa complete with bathroom, kitchen and living area. Of all the places, apartments and hotels we have stayed in in Italy this was our favorite! It was charming and we felt very much at home. The grounds of this place are gorgeous, with a swimming pool and many sun lounges. The welcome meal on the Saturday and the optional meal on Wednesday were a wonderful way to sample Tuscan food and meet with the other guests. Gabrielle was able to advise us on day trips and we enjoyed strolling into town for a drink or snack at the small village nearby. The local restaurants are very inexpensive and the food is fabulous!
It is advisable to have a car so you can really explore the area. So will definitely return...probably for two weeks next time. It makes a great base to explore Italy from.

Everything you've read is true. The villa has been painstakingly and lovingly restored with amazing attention to detail. Lovely, peaceful grounds and garden. The Cantinis are proud and excellent hosts --- helpful and cordial without being overbearing. And the FOOD! What can be said about the Sat. welcome and optional Wed. dinner? Pace yourself b/c you're in for a treat. Everything remarkably fresh, much of it homegrown or provided by extended family and friends. Beautifully prepared. We toasted both Mrs. Cantinis after our Wed. meal!!

Conversation with guests is fun and stimulating. Everything about the apartment is comfortable -- one small wish -- if screens were possible so we could've let the breeze through without the mosquitos that would've been great but understand screens are not terribly popular (or convenient) in Europe given the centuries old window shape. Having the kitchen was great -- enabling us to have breakfast and even cooking in one night.

A couple of tidbits -- if you're arriving by car, definitely print out Gabry's directions from the website and do NOT rely on GPS. Once there, Gabry provides excellent maps. Gabry was very helpful before we arrived, securing our reservations at the Uffizi and L'Accademia. We used their arrival day grocery service -- it was nice to have Sun. breakfast supplies on hand having arrived at 7 pm on Sat. Since it was our second week of travel, having onsite laundry was quite useful....trust me...relaxing poolside, reading, listening to the birds and looking at olive trees makes doing laundry a dream!

My whole family loved every minute of our stay. My 78 year old Dad had never been to Italy. He told me our Le Torri stay gave him memories to treasure he'd never thought possible. I rarely return to the same place because I'm always curious about what other places can offer. However, I cannot imagine topping Le Torri. We will definitely be back. By the way, *best* gelato of our trip in Castelina in Chianti as you come through the pedestrian tunnel, on right. It's also an Enoteca so you can't miss it. Grazie Mille

We just loved loved loved Le Torri. It was perfect from start to finish. The countryside is full of spectacular views, the grounds are so beautifully maintained and the apartments were very comfortable. We stayed in Apt 1 on the second floor which has 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. They actually are bigger than they look in the video. The Welcome Buffet was the best food we had in Italy as well as Wednesday's sit down meal which you reserve ahead of time. This meal is worth every euro you pay, don't miss it ! Gabriele was so friendly, accomodating and helpful. I would recommend renting a vehicle with a GPS so that you can visit other towns like Cinque Terre, Sienna, Pisa, Lucca etc.. and also go back into Florence for shopping as they have the best prices for leather goods and other items. Thanks to Gabriele, his parents and wife we will never forget this wonderful experience we had at their Villa. If you book your stay here you will not be disappointed !
