This is one of the best dining experiences I've had in Italy and elsewhere. Husband and wife team Pippo and Paola run the show between them: Paola is the genius behind the scenes in the kitchen and Pippo is the 'master of all he purveys' from the extensive cellar. Their enthusiasm is great to observe... and the dishes are a delight to taste. They even laid on a last-minute surprise birthday cake .
They speak English, so cope well with international visitors like ourselves whose Italian is a bit sketchy.
The place is usually full of locals, which tells you a lot about the quality of the food, wine and service. It was recommended to us by an Italian friend.
