Fireplace in the evenings, spaghetti cooking in the old kitchen, very comfortable rooms . Lunch B-B-Q on the terrace with view on the olive grove.
An unforgettable atmosphere of ancient times. It was our second visit and we look forward to our third one very soon!
We stayed at the farmhouse (3 couples) the first week of September 2015 and it was a great experience. Loro Ciuffenna is a quaint small town with a couple of great restaurants and it's a good spot for doing day trips to Siena, Arezzo, Assisi and the Chianti region.
This is a working farm with local help visiting every day so it's an experience you will not find at most places. The buildings are very unique with a classic Italian rustic flair. Can't even guess as to the age of the structures but they go back a long time. Really a neat place.
There is a local winery, Tiburio, which was a great find and the wine is excellent. You can walk to the vineyard from the property.
Claudia and the staff were great and we could not have asked for a better stay.
