Having stayed a week in Rod and Caroline's bed and breakfast I can thoroughly recommend this lovely villa. It is comfortable and spacious with high class en suite accommodation. Rod's breakfasts are delicious and his friendly advice and help in getting around this beautiful region without a car are invaluable. Bagni Di Lucca is a beautiful, small Italian town with its own unique history but it s also a great gateway to the cities of Lucca and Pisa which can so easily be visited by bus or train. Well worth a visit to experience the hospitality and beauty that is Italy!

We stayed here for 2 nights.
Perfect room, perfect views of the town.
The owners were very helpful and friendly. We even got a carafe of wine on arrival.

Make sure you have dinner at the Villa at least once! The food was fantastic (too much for us to finish despite our big appetites) and great value in a lovely setting.

We spent 4 delightful nights at Villa Roaslena during our summer holiday in Tuscany. Rod and Caroline, the owners, were such warm people and made us feel so welcome. They had great suggestions for day trips; loved them all! Location was very central in northern Tuscany. If you have a chance, absolutely don't miss a dinner made by Caroline; she's an extroidinary chef! You just need to request ahead of time and Caroline will prepare a memorable evening meal on the porch. I had a few dietary restrictions and caroline was happy to acccomadate me. Each breakfast was delicious and included some spectacular offering like: panckes, grilled tomatoes, baked croissants, and more! Loved every one!

The only drawback that might cause an issue for some is that getting to the front door of the B & B takes a climb of 60 steps! We needed the excercise with all the fantastic foods we simply had to try in Tuscany

Room Tip: There was a pool but we didn't use it; no fitness room but climbing the stairs helped to keep us in shape!

Our visit to Villa Rosalena in Bagni di Lucca was such a nice holiday experience. We got a lovely welcome from the owner Rod, & his breakfasts were delicious, He cooks a special every day (pancakes fruit etc). The taste of the fleshy picked figs (from trees overhanging the villa) served with yoghurt...left a lasting taste. The Villa is beautifully restored (an oasis) in the Tuscan countryside, the themed bedrooms were tastily decorated, There were nice walks (& natural spa's) which we did not explore as much as we should have as we were busily visiting Lucca, & Cinque Terra - we will go back again to capture the 'away from it all' atmosphere. Rod works hard to provide the perfect holiday experience.

We have just returned from our second visit to this lovely B & B. I first reviewed Villa Rosalena last year (2.10.12) and can happily say that nothing has changed....thank goodness!
There is a certain magic about the place that is hard to put into words.
Rod, the owner was soooooo brilliant, for everything from the delicious breakfasts, to helping us plan trips out and about. Nothing was too much trouble, indeed, the genuine hospitality, warmth and good humour he displays makes your stay all the more enjoyable.
Rod's wife Caroline, with whom he runs the B & B was away but Rod kept up the excellent standards and did an amazing job.
Villa Rosalena has something special.
Magic.

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful but the Vino Rosso and the Cicciolato have he best views.
