Stayed here in Summer whilst touring Tuscany. The location is beautiful with fabulous views on all sides.
We found that the service did not live up to the pretentions of this property. Check in was good but it seemed the receptionist was reading from a script. This however could be a language thing. Later on we spoke to a very dour man on reception who was abrupt verging on rude.
The room itself was ok, quite rustic in decor, the bed was comfortable.
The hotel has a great swimming pool with well kept gardens.
We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was excellent. We were kept entertained by the restaurant manager/ head waiter who appeared to have little clue as to what was going on around him. His young staff saved the day and did all the work.
We ate out in the village on another night and had a great experience.
We used this hotel to travel into Florence by train and found that this worked well.
A lovely property, would be great with some improvements to the way it is run.More
