“Sorry, not certain about this one!!”
Reviewed August 15, 2012

This restaurant/bar is just around the corner from the Artimino apartments. We visited one night and had some local dishes - curried chicken - sliced chicken (not certain if fresh or packaged!!) with a sauce and covered in leaves - not bad. My wife had soup soaked bread on tomatoes - weird!! No pizza or pasta dishes and quite pricey - cost 40 euros for that and the three drinks we had!! Service was very slow as well. One regret is we did not just have a drink here, may have influenced my view, but see below.

Eat at Cantina Del Redi and drink at the local bar instead (go beyond the Bottega, turn left at the end of the street and then right - local tavern that also sells ham, meat, cheese etc - great local atmosphere - very entertaining to hear the Italians arguing - they are so passionate!!).

“could do better”
Reviewed August 12, 2012

We ate here during our recent stay at the Artimo apartments and were underwhelmed. The menu was limited and very local/ a bit fussy. We were travelling as a family and our son would have been happy with a plate of spaghettie or even a pizza. I'm sure if you are happy with a limited menu you would be very happy here, but with the number of people with children staying at the apartments I think they are missing a trick. Don't get me wrong, I dont want them to turn into Pizza Hut or McDonalds but I think theres scope for a greater variety.
We sat outside and the ambience was pleasant. Service was poor, the waiter could barely remember one thing at a time, let alone any more. At one point we asked for the bill and by the time he had got to the door and spoken to someone else he had forgotten about us. Needless to say we did not return.

“Friendly relaxed atmosphere and Great Food cooked by Chef Sergio”
Reviewed July 10, 2011

The friendly atmosphere and great food and wine all cooked by the most relaxed and aproachable chef, Segio who mixes with the diners. All the staff are superb especially Manuella who is so friendly and welcoming. The food is brilliant - I would recommend the beef and rockfish and all pasta dishes.

“great place for drinks, antipasti and local wine”
Reviewed July 9, 2011

lovely place to eat -really popular as only a 3 minute stumble back to the Artimino apartments. Have to book if you want to sit outside but lovely inside too. Not a huge menu but really local and seasonal. We drank lots of the Artimino produced Barco Reale red wine too. All very delicious. Ambience relaxed and friendly. About 30 euro each for dinner with wine & pud- 15 euro each for a mixed platter of great cheese and meat with more of the Barco Reale!
Go- you will love it
