Stayed here for 2 nights in the middle of a driving tour around Tuscany. Beautiful place, in the middle of nowhere with amazing views in every direction. We were in a room in the main villa which was large, tradionally furnished and had it's own sitting room, although we didn't use that very much. The grounds are perfect, wonderful swimming pool and the tennis court was in great condition. This was one of the reasons we picked this place, gives you something to do rather than just lying in the sun all day! The restaurant was really something, the food was top notch and you felt like you were in a top restaurant. Plus the Prosecco was incredibly good value!!!

Overall a very relaxing stay in a beautiful location with great staff and fantastic food. Only downsides might be that it is far from cheap, and when we were there it was pretty quiet, which during the day was great as the pool was empty and the tennis court available, but it did mean the restaurant was a little void of atmosphere.

Definitely recommend it though, we had been in Sienna for lunch and got there mid afternoon and it's also within easy reach of Montepulciano.

We stayed there one night as part of the Trek Travel Tuscany Luxury bike tour and we realy liked it a lot.

The grounds are really cool and the rooms are really suites.

We would go back in a flash.

Very quite surroundings. You will need a car to go to anything off property, but is really no need to since there is a great restaurant on property.

One warning, if you order steak for dinner, it is an absolute load of beef. Easily enough for 3 adults.

On 21 June 2008, my husband and I celebrated our wedding at Borgo Casabianca, which is a wonderful and very beautifully located 18th century villa complex, which we highly recommend for weddings if you would like to stay with all your guests (up to 100 sleeping places) at one location.

We started our wedding preparations in autumn 2007 and right from the start it has been a great pleasure to work with Francesca from Casabianca, who organized everything around our wedding. She is a very warm, enthusiastic and flexible person, full of good and creative ideas. What we really
appreciated in our preparations is that everything seemed to be possible at the Casabianca: choosing our own menu, arranging for children's meals and children's cots, extra beds, DJ until 2 am in the morning, the entire borgo lit with candle-lights... nothing seemed to be too much...

The day itself was fantastic. After the wedding ceremony in Siena, we drove the very scenic route to Casabianca (+/- 45 minutes) where everything was just perfectly arranged. Casabianca is such a peaceful and romantic place, especially with all the beautiful flowers and lavender in summertime. The food is delicious and sophisticated, and the sunset above the beautiful Tuscan landscape during the dinner was just unforgettable. The service is also very good (without being to stiff): the employees of the Casabianca seem to have a lot of pleasure in their work and were always willing to help us with anything we asked them. We will definitely come back on another occasion, this is a highly recommended place to go to if you want to relax and enjoy the best of Tuscany!

This is a beautiful hotel/property but it definitly is not a four or five star place. It really is pretty and quaint etc. no complaints at all about the facilites. Here are just a few examples

In my swimming suit and shirt I go to the Front desk to inquire where the location of the pool is and if we could get lunch there. She gives me directions and says the lunch is open above the pool from 12 to 2:30.

We get down to the pool and someone says you have to go to the front desk for towels! Do they not like Americans. I asked as nicely as I could in my suit for directions to the pool. Could she maybe have given me towels?

the next day we got up early and went touring. we got back to the hotel and sat down at the pool at 2 pm. The waitress serves another group their appetizer and meals without so much as looking at us. She finally comes over after 29 minutes too tell us they have no more lunch. if she just would have come over right away and said that we wouldnt have had to waste so much time. now the kids were starving so we had to pile in the cat to Sinalunga for lunch.

all in all great but dont expect any reasonable service.

make sure you have dinner in Sinalunga right bear the hotel. Charming Italina town with not a tourist anywhere.

My husband and I just returned from four wonderful days at CasaBianca. We were there with 83 other guests to celebrate the wedding of a dear friend. We were enchanted by the place. The rooms were impeccable, we stayed in Villa Cardeliino, which is a 2 bedroom villa located on the property, we shared this with another couple and it was great. The restaurant serves local Tuscan fare and it's delicious. The waiter, Nedo, was extremely hospitable and caring, and not to mention funny! The swimming pool overlooking the Tuscan Hills was amazing, as was the entire property. You can take a drive about 30 minutes to Siena or Pienza to enjoy sightseeing. Overall, this was a beautiful place to spend some time, and what sticks out in my mind best of all is the smell of fresh lavender in the air. A truly wonderful stay at CasaBianca.

  • Liked — The views, and the property as a whole
  • Disliked — it's about a 2-3 hour drive from Rome. NExt time, I'd fly into Florence and drive down or take a train.

I couldn't recommend highly enough that you stay at Casbianca. The place is gorgeous, the staff are fantastic (especially waiter Nedo and receptionist Marina) and the food is amazing. We had the Countess suite, which was like staying in a 17th century palais, with frescoed ceilings and a view of the Tuscan countryside. The olive oil produced on the estate is delicious too! This place is perfect for hiding away from the world in the lap of luxury and just chilling out, eating loads, swimming and relaxing. Casabianca is a special place to stay indeed!

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
The 18th-century manor house, in this 4-star Tuscan hotel, has three rooms and six suites, some of which still have original frescoes. Attention to detail makes this little village quite unique, from the rooms to the suites and from the pool area to the restaurant which serves local Tuscan specialties and has an excellent wine list. The renovations carried out on the village have brought Casabianca back to its former splendor and involved not just the buildings, streets and gardens but also the farm lands and the olive groves. The production of oil, which was once the farm's main activity, is still alive today and the result is an excellent D.O.P. Terre di Siena extra-virgin olive oil: a precious flavor of Tuscany. From the hotel there are splendid vistas of the charming Tuscan countryside towards the Montalcino hills, Mount Amiata, the Crete and Siena. An unforgettable spectacle. ... more   less
