Hotel is as good as everyone says, great location, rooms and breakfast, very relaxing. Receptionist Alice is a gem, unfortunately the other receptionist needs a bit more training, when we asked for our bathrobes (which came with the room) she said NO and claimed not to understand any english. Unfortunately the "not knowing english" ruse and ignoring you was a Carloforte trend which we came across time and time again in shops, bars and restaurants, in one shop the assistant even turned her back on us when we got to the counter to pay, a loud SCUSI generally did the trick followed by an attempt to speak Italian (it seemed to make them happier). Watch out for the overcharging as well, as soon as they know you are tourists they double the price (especially on bottles of their cold red wine). Carloforte is a very beautiful place and despite it all we had a very good time, however Carloforte residents need to make their minds up if they want tourists in their town or not. Oh by the way I am fed up with tuna!
