“Great restaurant - would return”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 10, 2013 via mobile

We were recommended this restaurant from the hotel, we would have otherwise never found it. An interesting menu dominated with different tuna dishes. The food was excellent, well presented and delicious.

I wouldn't choose this place if you aren't intending on ordering tuna.

Tips: reserve a table on the covered balcony.

“A faithful and tasteful interpretation of the local products”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 15, 2012

This place was suggested to us by the locals for the choice and quality of the products even if it is one of the most expensive restaurants in town. The price/quality relationship is very good considering the freshness of the fish, the respect of the tradition accompanied by innovative estro by the chef. Large choice of the wine list, the accent is rightly put on the regional richness with a variety of prices. Elegant place without being impersonal or excessively posh.

“Too expensive”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 31, 2012

We were recommended this restaurant and therefore we decided to have lunch there. The tuna was good but extremely expensive (18 euros without side orders). Indeed, this was the most expensive restaurant in our whole trip in Sardinia. The quality was good but it does not justify the price. I think they just built on the brand that exists for 30 years but honestly "it is definately not good value for money". Besides, it is quite hard to find even after being told by the tourism office how to get there.

“THE MOST EXPENSIVE TUNA IN THE WORLD!!!”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2010

My Husband and I were travelling to Calaforte and decided to buy a guide book (DK Eyewitness Travel). Il Tonno di Corsa was listed with two $$ signs offering local cuisine with a rustic and charming decor. When we got there I saw a couple sharing two little pieces of seared Tuna and another couple sharing a dish of Tuna pasta. I found it all cute and thought they were sharing appetizers.

As it turns out they were sharing MAINS. I ordered the seared Tuna which turned out to be plate with two 50 gram fillets of seared Tuna without so much as a garnish on the side. Colin (my husband) ordered Tuna pasta and we had a bottle of wine... TOTAL – 190 Euro’s!! Do not be fooled people Seared Tuna is Seared Tuna and if you expensive Seared Tuna go to NOBU in Mayfair... it taste's better and is much cheaper. A LA CARTE is fun but NOT at Il Tonno di Corsa!!!
