“Nuff said”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

I chose Sardinia as the holiday for this summer for one reason and one reason only - because I saw a picture of Cala Goloritze in a Times Travel supplement of 'great places to visit'. I just said to myself - "got to go there".

You need to invest 3.5 hrs of hiking in blistering hot weather if you do it in summer. Worth it? Oh yes? Is it crowded when you get there? Surprisingly it usually is - almost 100% Italian from what I could see. Also surprisingly that wasn't really a problem as most of them (excluding people zipping in on small boats) had also invested 3.5 hrs walking there too so there was almost a shared camaraderie when you got there, flopped in the surf, took a breath and had a look around at the stunning, stunning view. It really does look as if someone's just trid to design a beach with 'perfect attributes' and plonk it down somewhere on earth. A must visit.

“Good hike to cozy beach”
Reviewed July 23, 2013

This is a doable day trip with children. Our boys are ages 8 and 11 and made the 1.5 hour trip down and 2 hour trip back up without too much trouble. The beach can get crowded despite the effort required to reach it, but it is a beautiful beach. Do not go into the little caves along the trail because they are infested with fleas, which our young one discovered.

“great beach with crystal water”
Reviewed July 18, 2013

The trip to cala goloritze was exhausting but worthy. It is an hour and 15 minutes walk but when you get there it is the nicest view I have seen-clear crystal water-just perfect. The way back is very exhausting but I recommend to see it:)

“top notch beach”

2h walking. it's worthy but make sure you are hydrated and on fit. Have to pay like 3-4euros to leave the parking and start the walking. Once you arrive to the Cala there's a guy asking for money (1euro). Pitfall...

“Hire a boat!”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

We hired a boat from Booth 2 at Cala Gonone. Was €85 (from 9am to 5:30pm) + fuel (which was €30 for the day, you pay the fuel people direct). Boat rental service was excellent, very friendly and no hassle.

Boat rental company gave us a cool bag c/w Ice, and we had bought some supplies in the local supermarket, so were all set for the day. Went straight to Cala Goloritze, and did some swimming and then spent the rest of the day working our way back along the various beaches. Was an amazing day, and would recommend it to anyone. Boat would take up to 6 people, and would suggest you spend the extra 5 or 10 euro to get a boat with a canopy (the sun was very strong), but you can put the canopy up or down very easily.
