This hotel offers historic and pretty grounds and common areas, and spacious room. Our rooom was on the first floor facing the front and pool with a nice balcony. Others in our group didn't have balcony or had a room on a floor where the elevator didn't exactly go. The bathroom was lovely but it could use a little upgrade in terms of hairdryer (worst ever). But overall, it's a nice place with friendly staff and a good dinner.

Room Tip: get room on first floor above reception, with balcony facing the water.

We stayed at Hotel Laurin and enjoyed our visit. The grounds, common room, breakfast patio and frescos on the ceiling are really beautiful. If room comfort is important to you, I would recommend taking a larger room, pay the little bit extra. Kiara at reception was very helpful and welcoming and assisted us with a restaurant booking. The entire hotel team were very helpful and accommodating. The gardens and pool area are perfect for an afternoon Aperol, and while you are close to Salo, you are not located in the throng with the masses, but it's still within easy walking distance to the promenade. I would definitely return.

Room Tip: It's definitely worth it to spend a little bit more and go for a lake view room, the Picolo Pico...

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights in August on our way from the South of France to the UK. Car parking on site was adequate although on a slope and can be a bit of a squeeze. Reception staff were very helpful and provided a welcome drink to be taken at your leisure. Our Dolce Vita room at the front of the hotel with a balcony and outstanding lake views was, spacious and spotlessly clean. Dining 'alfresco' was delightful and the staff extremely helpful. The spacious garden with tables, chairs and a small swimming pool all added to the ambiance. Although our room was a little more expensive, it was worth every Euro! Salo is within easy walking distance, has a fine esplanade with very tasteful shops and restaurants. Stay here.

Room Tip: Pay more for a Dolce Vita room.

Stayed at this hotel for a family wedding, it couldn't have been better. The hotel is a beautiful, historic building, with a lovely terrace for breakfast and stunning dining room. The bedrooms are character Italian style, especially the double rooms with Lake views. A nice garden and pool, and although by a road, really didn't seem to notice it. The staff were first class, friendly, welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The wedding reception took place at the hotel and was perfect, the food was so good, especially the amazing antipasto and deserts served on the terrace. The staff made the occasion run so smoothly, and even seemed to join in with the merriment.
The hotel is a few minutes walk from the town, and has lovely views of the lake.
Will be returning to Lake Garda, to explore more and most certainly will be booking Hotel Laurin again.

Room Tip: Double rooms with lake view are classy, character Italian style, twin rooms have a different more mo...

This hotel was like stepping back in time, the public areas are beautifully furnished and the bedrooms spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast on the terrace each morning was a joy, great service and stunning views over the lake. The staff were very friendly and efficient, no stuffiness here. Loved it!

Selected this hotel for its architectural interest, a real 'Liberty' - Art Nouveau gem and its restaurant. The public rooms were stunning and embellished with 'Jugenstil' design furniture, a real delight! Bedrooms were clean and extremely comfortable with quiet air conditioning and double glazing ( necessary as hotel is fronted by a busy road ).Could have done with assistance with baggage to and from the adjacent car park! Dining was on the outside terrace overlooking the front gardens and the small pool and loungers. The Sicillian chef ( ex Michelin star I understood ) served exciting, wonderful food but unfortunately the dining experience may not be to everyone's taste! Indeed our taste was ruined by being surrounded by heavy smokers and the adjacent diners feeding a dog from the table! Not what one would expect from such a quality restaurant - a separate area for non-smokers is a must for diners to enjoy the food! The young staff were good humoured and worked hard enough but need to keep their eyes on the tables requirements. Hotel has views over the road and houses to the lake and is within easy walking distance to the old town and lakeside, ferries , bars and restaurants.

We recently stayed 3 nights at this hotel on Lake Garda for our wedding anniversary. It is a beautiful hotel over looking the lake. We had a room with a balcony which i would thoroughly recommend, the views were stunning. There is an outdoor pool with a lovely sitting area and access to lots of restaurants and bars about 400m away.
The only down side is the road noise, but they play a lovely mixture of music outside an so it does not spoil your stay.
The staff and owners were delightful and could not have been more helpful
