Last year this was one of our favorite restaurants, so we returned on a busy Thursday music night with high expectations, which unfortunately were not met. Yes, it was music night and so they had extra tables on the promenade, but the service was very poor and slow - but we're on holiday and there's no rush. But, the food has really gone down hill. One of the dishes we ordered was pumpkin gnocchi with prawns, which was a glutenous mush that was pretty much inedible. When paying the bill (the highest of any meal we had at Salo) the manager/owner asked; "how was the meal?" - I did explain the issues with the food, service and at our disappointment, given the great meal we had had last year. He merely shrugged his shoulders and aided the 10% service charge - we shall not return.
