Just got back from this trip and we loved every minute of it. It's not very well advertised in Sorrento, I happened to find out by searching online for something to do on our last couple of days here. We payed 8 euros each for a transfer to the train at San Agata around 12 km away. We were picked up at our hotel in a private car and given a bit of a commentary along the way. Very good value as the local bus would have been nearly 7 euros,we would have had to walk to the bus stop, gone a lot earlier as it stops a lot on the way. After the trip we were returned back to our hotel. The trip took us all around the area stopping for photo opportunities and the tastings as others have described, all with interesting commentary from our very friendly driver. We saw places and learned things about the area which we would never have known and the little train is great even though a little bumpy! If you get the chance doit, you will not be disappointed.

This is one ride that you must not miss,a gentle ride through the countryside doing several stops to tasy and drink the local produce and see some of the sights that you may otherwise miss, ideal for all ages.

This trip was recommended to us by the owner of Stuzzichino restaurant, we thought it might be enjoyable for our less mobile members of the team. We were taken to a limoncello manufacturer, excellent chat and taster of a variety brews. We purchased several bottles without a hard sell.
Nice leisurely trip culminating with a trip for a bit of lunch at a local villa, excellent olive oils, bread, cheese and home made wine......a bit like cider but a lovely touch, all included in the €20 price. We actually thought that the staff would try and sell us some products, but to our disappointment it didn't happen, such a laid back adventure. We would recommend this trip. Driver is a funny guy!!

With the exception of stairs into the lemoncello tasting, this tour/train ride accomodates most most mobility issues. Usually room to store wheelchair/rollator, etc. Step stool for entrance/exit if needed. Restroom at one or more stops. Packaged food available. Thought it was a good value for the price and a good way to see some of the community. Propietor and driver(s) very friendly and fluent in multiple languages.

This train costs about €20 and lasts several hours and proceeds at a leisurely pace and gets to places around that you might not see. It calls to the villa once owned by the Achilla Lauro family and her you get to taste some local produce. It also stops for a tour of where the local Lemenchello local liquer is made and a taste of course. Well worth the price
