This is our 4th visit to the due golfi hotel and it is still fantastic. The staff are amazing and always go out of their way to help and its so nice to see the same team are still there and they are all such a credit to the hotel. Nothing much has changed, still great comfortable clean rooms, relaxing pool area and fab breakfast. Love the hotel an will be back again soon

Room Tip: Perfect place to stay but still in reach of great restaurants and a short bus ride away from sorrent...

As we travelled from Sorrento wondered if we would ever arrive at our hotel as others were dropped off at their respective hotels. However, although we were at the end of the line and high up it was all worth it. We wanted a balcony with a view and got fantastic views of Sorrento and the coast. Vesuvius was usually covered in cloud except early morning. Spectacular storms also though not on the agenda but great views. Staff were very helpful, but had to ask 3 times for hangers! Breakfast was varied and more than enough and you could help yourself, various cheeses, meats, breads, juices, or cooked eggs etc. Choices for the dinner menu and a gala dinner once a week where diners clapped as staff carried the various food on platters and rushed to take photos. Rooms were spotless and always clean towels. The pool area was a bit tired and needs a good make-over. Lots of trips to the surrounding area, or take the courtesy hotel bus to Sorrento and use local services to the area, a lot cheaper.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel have the best views of the sea and Sorrento but cost more, dont go fo...

We got back from this hotel yesterday and would highly recommend it. The service and care of all the staff was outstanding, location ideal to walk in to S'Agata and courtesy bus to Sorrento in 20 minutes. Loved being away from the hustle and bustle yet within easy access of the town. Views are breathtaking. A trip to Capri to visit the Blue Grotto is a must even if you have to wait a while and combine with a trip around the island , perfect. Pompeii Vesuvius and Herculeum are also a must and all can be reached easily by train. The unexpected touches as we left this hotel were also thoughtful like a packed breakfast due to our early departure and a bottle of limoncello with the feedback form. We will definitely use again.

Room Tip: Stunning views from rooms on upper floors at the back

We have just returned from 2 weeks in this hotel and I wish I was still there! I cannot fault this hotel. The friendliness off the staff is second to none! The hotel was spotlessly clean as was the bedrooms. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel to anyone. We are hoping to stay there again on our next trip to Sorrento.

Spotlessly clean, good location for exploring the Sorrento peninsular plus a frequent courtesy bus to Sorrento and a daily one to Nerano (beach). Breakfast was very good; we didn't eat in the hotel restaurant is it looked very competent but we preferred to eat out. Best of all the desk staff were really helpful and organised a fantastic private 8metre power boat tour around Capri plus snorkelling stops and collect/drop off from the hotel for not that much more than 4 tickets on a mass tour. Staff also helpful with public transport and hotel recommendations.

Room Tip: Pay for a sea view, you get the gulf, sore to and Vesuvios

What a location! What a view!
High on the peninsula above Sorrento, overlooking the bay/gulf of Naples, with Mount Vesuvius away to the east.
Not sure about the "due golfi", two bays. No real visibility south to the gulf of Salerno :-( but I never got up on the roof so who knows?
The hotel itself is well run, rooms clean with quite modern furnishing - soap and shower cosmetics were a bit feast or famine, but the ever helpful Amelie on reception fixed every problem, with a smile and a laugh.
The hotel is on a step hillside. Our rooms were down a floor from main reception, but still up a floor from the garden. Rather disappointingly there was no lift or porter, so we had to lug our cases down a staircase with two 180 turns (and back up again when leaving).
Breakfast was usual multicultural continental buffet-get there early for the fresh fruit salad, before it is replenished from catering tins. A little variety in the buffet would have been welcome after 10 days. Also the unusual croissants stuffed with jam(!) were not as popular as plain ones which always ran out.
Pool bar did reasonable mix of salad and pasta etc.
Main bar had fine view through plate glass windows, but the lack of buzz showed something was missing. You really wanted to be sitting outside enjoying a cool cocktail, taking in that glorious view, watching the sun set over the sea.
The pool was tucked away round the back in the trees, well away from the spectacular view, duh! Another wasted opportunity!
OK, the view is to the north, so the hotel casts a shadow over the garden for much of the day. But, an infinity pool, with stepped terraces of sun loungers and bar furniture for lunch and evening would transform this ordinary hotel into an experience.
We ate out in evenings mostly at local restaurants, which were plentiful and good quality, and all serving much the same Italian menu. We also made a few trips down to Sorrento, for much the same menus.
So, a good hotel not quite making the most of its great location.

After a very enjoyable trip here 2 years ago, we decided to come back for another stay and we were so glad we chose this hotel again. The loation of this place is fantastic and this time we chose a room with sea view which is definitely worth the extra few pounds. The view every morning of Vesuvius poking out above the misty Bay of Naples is fabulous.
The staff is superb at the Due Golfi, always helpful and attentive, never fussy. Reception staff, waiters, cleaners, pool staff all really pleasant. Maybe the shuttle bus driver could crack a smile now and again!
Shuttle bus to Sorrento every couple of hours is invaluable and during our time there they added a new service which took people to the beautiful beach at Marina del Canotone. They do a drop off at 9.15 and a pick up at 13.15, giving you a whole morning to enjoy a lovely quiet spot for swimming and sunbathing.
Breakfast very good, especially the wonderful orange juice. Didn't eat dinenr there as we ate out and about every evening. Had lunch by the pool a couple of times which was fine.
Can highly recommend this hotel and i imagine we will be going back there again some day.

Room Tip: Choose a room with sea view - you will not regret it!
