We had a very good look at the Due Golfi on trip advisor , so we gave it a try .This hotel must have one of the best views in Italy, The Bay of Napoli ,Mt Vesuvius and directly below Sorrento ,what a Vista !
Amelia and the rest of the staff on reception ,were very helpful nothing was to much trouble. The free shuttle bus was very conveniant ,however you do need to book it ,saying that there was always seats .Resturant staff helped me with my glutten free diet ( I am Ceoliac ) and would often make a meal available just for my self .
Wine at 9euros a bottle was very good value , but beer at 5 euros a pint was not to cheap but par for the course for the resort .TIP drink wine !
The hotel was nice and clean ,rooms cleaned every day ,and towels provided for the pool .
All told we made a great choice and will almost certainly go back , this is a great place to stay if you fancy Sorrento

Room Tip: Book a room with a sea view its worth the extra

The room, food, service, and staff were all excellent in this enchanting Hotel

The view from the room-overlooking Sorrento, the Bay of Naples with Mount Vesuvius in the background-was awe-inspiring.

A special thanks to all the Hotel staff in particular Amelia and Ornella in recption for all their help and advice.

We have had a wonderful holiday in Italy made more enjoyable by staying in such a superb Hotel.

Just returned from a wonderful week, this hotel has the best ever views, over sorrento + the mountains, pay a little extra for sea view and you can sit on your balcony with a bottle of wine, 8euro from bar, or buy your own at local shops, just bliss! the food is great Italian not English or German!, shuttle fine, need to book day before if want popular times, like 10am takes about 20mins but a nice drive. This is one of the nicest, cleanest hotels we've ever stayed in, could only be improved by some music in the evenings.

Staying here was a major highlight of our trip to Italy. The views--spectacular. A lovely location to call "home" between our visits to the bustling cities of Florence and Rome. A regularly scheduled shuttle service was priceless in our exploration of Sorrento and connecting tour to Capri. Service was very helpful and friendly--even when dealing with 4 sometimes disoriented, deer in headlights, little lost puppy dog American female travelers! The steep and winding roads that must be traveled to locate this gem on the side of a mountain are well worth the ride when you reach this peaceful destination!
