Description: Kilometer zero Restaurant The definition of KM zero is using and consuming food from the area of production Our farmhouse restaurant has always had this philosophy, that is, what is produced in our region (an area famous for wine and food ) becomes the foundation of our menu . By respecting the seasonality of our products we can ensure the freshness and quality of our ingredients . We put effort into promoting the local produce that tells a story about our surrounding territory without ignoring the excellent products that Italy is so famous for.

Before travelling to the Massa Lubrense area I had researched restaurants and liked the sound of this place, especially as they offer a 'taxi' service. My husband and I went along to have a look and asked about booking a table. We should have been alerted at that stage as they really didn't seem to be that keen to take our booking, however, a table and taxi were organised for that evening. The taxi service was excellent but that was about the only thing that was! On arrival we were shown to our table which was nice but the service was very poor - we had to wait a long time before anybody came to take our order and everything seemed to be a bit of a hassle. My starter of Aubergine Parmasan was really disappointing - I had had this in Rome a few days earlier and it was delicious but this version didn't resemble it at all. Both of our main courses were extremely average and the service didn't improve at all - the waiter didn't bother pouring our wine, we weren't asked if we had enjoyed the food etc. We didn't bother hanging about for dessert as we just wanted to get away.

Our guide Carlo Arcucci recommended this restaurant which sits atop hills overlooking the bay of Naples. The restaurant is part of a farm that has been in the family for generations. It is both elegant and rustic with a series of terraces built in the hillside. On a beautiful day it is simply gorgeous with bunches of ripening vegetables hanging from the rafters and sunlight coming in from all angles. We didn't bother with a menu as Carlo had them bring us seven or eight different appetizers plus a to die for dessert platter. All of that plus two bottles of the farm's house wine made for a memorable lunch for a total of 130 Euros.

The restaurant was quite empty when we arrived at about 12:30pm and we could see that they were setting up for a very large group of 40 arriving later. Our table was not in a prime location but its hard to complain!

This is a must visit restaurant especially on a beautiful day.

Went here after debating going to stay there. We decided not to stay there but thought we would try the food.

When arrived no one was there but carried on and people did eventually 'join' us but this did nothing for the stale atmosphere.

The antipasti brought out was nice and we thought this was a good sign.
But no..

We had 2 glasses of the house red and on near completion realised there were ants in the glass so can only assume they were in the bottle.

The food was mediocre at best. The ravioli caprese was bland and the grilled mixed meat of poor quality and could have been cooked better on home barbeque. The sword fish was large in quantity but again bland. The house salad was tiny but cost 8 euros.

All in all a very disappointing and bland experience that does nothing for the Agri-turismo label.

Please avoid and try other places in Santa agata.

Wow! Words really cannot describe our experience here. The food was amazing!! Exactly what we had been dreaming of for Italy, fresh from their garden. The service was impeccable. Andrea was so sweet. An insane amount of food. We ordered the course meal. The food kept coming. And at the end they brought out five bottles of liqueur out for us to sample. Their homemade red wine was excellent. Our meal lasted 3 1/2 hours. It was the festival of tomatoes the night we went, and so we had the privilege was watching and listening to their religious procession come slowly up the hill and setting off fireworks about every five minutes. It was glorious and not too distracting ... just perfectly magical.

I came across this restaurant whilst taking part on a walking tour of Sorrento organised by Thomas Cook , our first stop on the walk was to the farm shop of this restaurant where we booked for lunch the following day ,they collected us from our hotel for a small fee (12 euros return for my wife and I) and after collected two more people from the centre of Sorrento and then straight onto the restaurant, we were warmly welcomed by one of the owners and given a glass of chilled prosseco and then shown to our table to take in the views , the waiter was very helpful and took his time to explain and advise about the menu telling us that the antipasti for one would certainally be big enough for two to share and he was right with 9 dishes for the first course all excellant quality , a bottle of their own produced white wine was ordered to accompany the meal and was very good , we then opted for a pasta dish again excellantly cooked and presented ,followed by a dessert straight from heaven , we had to skip the fish and the meat course but I am sure these would have been of the highest quality also , so to recap if you want a meal to remember in a setting straight out of your dreams than book here you will not regret it
