“Wonderful upgrade, friendly accommodating staff.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 22, 2013

We stayed on a Groupon voucher and were treated superbly by some very friendly staff. We received an upgrade to an executive room, 430, 4th floor which was a lovely room, two large beds, a double Jacuzzi bath and a balcony. Food in the bar on Sunday was ok, salad vegetables weren't as crisp and fresh as I like them to be but staff friendly and chatty.
Thermal suite was nice, quiet and relaxing, we enjoyed our hour there. Breakfast the next morning had a good selection of options and served in a beautiful appointed restaurant, lovely colour scheme. Overall the upgrade stood out, we really enjoyed our stay in room 430. Thanks Knightsbrook

Room Tip: Room 430, huge room, lots of space, double jazucci bath and a balcony, loooking over the roof of the...

We recently stayed at Knightsbrook hotel and overall it was a pleasant trip;
Pros:
- We took the two courses for €20 offer which was on in the restaurant and must say we really enjoyed the food. The main course was delicious and although there seemed to be a slight delay with the deserts resulting in my desert being a little cold upon being served, but it was still enjoyable.
- There was live music in the bar area which wasn’t too loud and created a decent atmosphere.
- Breakfast had a good selection of food available and anything I had was tasty.
- The room was clean and quiet and beds were comfortable
Cons:
- We found the receptionist rather abrupt on check in and not particularly welcoming or friendly – although to be fair she was efficient and helped with any requests we had.
- The WiFi didn’t appear to be available in our room, only nearer the reception area
- We went to the Spa during our visit and while it’s generally nice with a good range of facilities the area with the steam room / sauna etc does need a little TLC as it’s becoming a bit rough around the edges – e.g paint peeling off areas of celling in the steam rooms and some damaged or grubby tiles.
- The bathroom was a little basic and the shower did spay water on the floor.

Overall we had an enjoyable stay, and aside from a few minor issues would happily return to Knightsbrook Hotel.

We had our wedding here in January and we stayed on for a few days after. From start to finish this hotel stands out as one of the best we have been to.

The wedding day itself was brilliant and all the staff were excellent and nothing was too much for them. The room for the cermony was so well done and when they changed it around for the dinner people didnt even think we were in the same room.

Hotel itself is spotlessly clean and well maintained with plenty of seating in the lobby to relax. Lobby is huge.

Check in for us was so fast and everybody else at the wedding had no complaints.

Bedrooms are perfect. Large double bed with couch in the room and a very large bathroom with double jacuzzi. This seemed to be the standard room that most of the guest stayed in, but not to sure if all the rooms have a double jacuzzi.

Honeymoon suite was fantastic, two story suite with sitting room area when you first walk in and the bedroom upstairs with a very large bathroom.

We had a guest at the wedding that was in a wheel chair and she said that she has never stayed in a room in a hotel that was so well catered for people in wheel chairs. She could not get over how good the room was for her and we know for a fact that she has already booked in for another stay.

Resturant, a three corse meal for 2 with a glass of wine cost us €90. The food was lovely and it looked like something from master chef.

Bar food for lunch was good, but for what you got it was a little bit pricey.

The only have one complaint about this hotel. We sat down for lunch (in the bar area) the day after the wedding with twelve of our guests and the waitress came over and only took half the order for the table. We didnt know why she went away so we waited for a few minutes and asked her if we could order food. Her reply was "oh do you want to order food as well". When we got our food and ate it we decided to have some desert. We went up to the serving area and ordered it but nothing came for twenty minutes. When we went up and asked a different waitress she went and tried to sort it out but were still waiting a while for the desert. The bar area wasn't busy so we dont know what the reason was for the not so good service but we put in down to an off day because everything else in the hotel is excellent.

We know lots of our friends including my parents are going to go back to this hotel for short breaks and we will definetly be going back every year to this hotel to celebrate our anniversay.

Can not recommend this hotel enough. Only the next time we are down we will check out the spa and the golf course.

I was a guest at a wedding here in January. Great hotel 4 a wedding, lovely reception in the bar area with loads of space for your guests. The main reception room is great size and perfectly set up 4 a wedding. My only complaint was the price of drink at the bar, you could only compare them to temple bar prices. Eg bottle of Miller was €5.40! Staff very helpful and food good! I would recommend this hotel 4 a wedding!

An absolutely fantastic hotel. Can honestly not give one single bad point about it. Went for overnight stay and massages the following day in their beautiful spa. Staff couldn't be more pleasant, room beautiful - and not too hot as many hotel rooms are, bed you could lie on day and night and two pillows each without having to request further pillows, tea/coffee in room, safe. Meal that evening in the bar area was delicious. Breakfast following morning superb. All in all no hesitate in recommending the hotel.

While the room was comfortable the shower had very little pressure.
We had a 3 course evening meal. The main course was fine but the starter and deserts were terrible.
Breakfast the next morning was fine.

This was an impromtu booking,it popped up on my Facebook for 69e for two with breakfast, and as i enjoyed previous visit which was a two night stay for a wedding,i thought i would try it again.
On last visit the bathroom had a massive two seater spa bath, which we never did get to use, would have been lovely to try it out. this room didnt, but what could i expect for 69e...lol
We arrived early and were allocated room immediately, which was overlooking golf course,it was spacious and had an extra bed, large single.
Room was cozy, lots of toiletries.kettle biscuits etc.
We used pool,a little cool for my liking, but still had a relaxing swim, also enjoyed jacuzzi, steam room and sauna.
We decided to eat in bar, which was very busy all afternoon, afternoon tea there seems quite popular.and at 22.50 for two people seemed to include a lot of food.
I had burger and fries, partner had steak, all very enjoyable, then we had a sharing platter for dessert,it had a bit of everything in it and was delicious.
Our waitress Nuala was very friendly knowledgeable and efficient.lovely girl.
(Any staff we encountered were friendly)
Finally BREAKFAST,it was absolutely lovely, they had everything, and well laid out and not greasy.
