We often visit the Bailey bar for Sunday lunch and it’s always lovely, today was no exception. The carvery was beautiful and staff had no problem giving us extra gravy or that little bit more stuffing on the plate. It’s brilliant value for two courses for a main and dessert with a huge selection of desserts to choose from. We always enjoy our time here and recommend it to friends and family alike. There was a great atmosphere for the all Ireland final today and special shout out to all the staff who always go out of their way to make every customer happy and full to the brim with good food and drink.

Had lunch in the bailey. I found the food was very expensive and the portions very small. The standard of food was definitely only average. Never again for me. Way better value and quality in Trim.

Hi dublin6011

We are extremely disappointed to read your review. We are assuming that you had Carvery Lunch and not actually bar-food. Our Chef's are generally quite generous with their portions.

Please contact our General Manager Patrick Reilly directly on preilly@trimcastlehotel.com if you do return and we will ensure that you were looked after.

Kind Regards
The Bailey Bar Team

If you can get a table by the window, you have a fabulous view of Trim Castle. After dark, when it is illuminated, it's even more romantic.

Living local, we frequently visit this fantastic bar, yesterday having family home from Canada we decided to treat them to a meal in here. Well from the moment we stepped foot in the place, they were blown away. The welcome we received from the staff was warm and sincere. There was six of us in total and we were looked after amazingly. Andrew was our waiter and he was first class, describing the menu in great detail and answered all our queries with ease. Then the food arrived, WOW! From the Sea Bass to the meat & cheese board, everything was well presented and delicious. I personally would recommend the Calamari and then the Jumbo Profitteroles for dessert. We will definitely be returning here especially when we are treating visiting friends and family.

So, we called in to get a quick coffee and bite to eat. The coffee was good. We decided to get 3 "plates" of chips for 3 of us. Our plates of chips were 3 tiny buckets of chips. I put mine on a saucer to make it actually look like there was some sort of substance to my meal. The saucer was barely bigger than the ketchup sachet. 7eur for 3 tiny amounts of chips. So, yea, don't bother.

Thanks GlyndwrE for your review. We generally only serve chips as additional side orders so apologies that you were disappointed with the portion size. We will review this when orders are made going forward. Kind Regards The Bailey Bar
