Everything about our stay at Cranmoor was wonderful from our first email interactions with Marc to our final farewell with Anne. What wonderful people and what a lovely Inn! Marc set up fishing guide services for my husband and Tommy his guide was great. Anne was even kind enough to drive me into Trim so I could see the sites while the boys were off fishing. Room was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Anne even recommended a dinner spot which was great (Dunderry Lodge). We would definitely recommend this B&B to anyone looking for a county inn close to Dublin. Hope to return in the future. Thanks to Anne, Marc, and Tommy for a wonderful trip--Sue and Dave (San Pietro Clarenza, Sicily/Eagle River, Wisconsin USA)

After arriving in Dublin from Chicago, we drove to Crannmor in Trim - about 45 minutes from the airport. The property is picturesque, just outside the city of Trim. Proximity to downtown and the Trim Castle and being located within a convenient distance from Newgrange, the Battle of the Boyne and the Hill of Tara made our first two nights extremely relaxing and the process of recovering from jetlag an extremely enjoyable. Anne O'Regan is a delightful, personable and knowledgeable host.

On our first night outside of Dublin on our honeymoon, my husband and I spent the night in Trim at the Crannmor House. We wanted to explore the local castle, Newgrange, the Hill of Tara, etc. What an amazing experience! The house is gorgeous and so comfortable. Our ensuite was huge and warm and the bed was super soft and comfy. She recommended places to eat in town as well as pubs to hang out at! The dining room where breakfast was served was beautifully decorated and had a roaring fireplace in the center.

Pluses--room for sure, most places had tiny bathrooms for the ensuite rooms but this one was huge! My husband and I could both fit in it. Yay!, location was great, only 5 minutes into town and to the local attractions, it was also set on one of the major roads to get to the other sites out of Trim we wanted to see, Hostess even helped us pick the next B and B to stay in for where we were going and called them long distance for us!

Minuses--food wasn't that great, we had the traditional Irish breakfast, which we had tried in Dublin for two days before that and the bread was a bit stale and the baon slices were small. That is my only complaint though.

Cranmoor B&B is an excellent choice for lodging! Our hosts, Marc and Anne, were especially accommodating, and a pleasure to chat with. We spent the night of our anniversary at Cranmoor, and they showed us how to light the fire in the breakfast room, told us where to purchase a bottle of wine, and had wine glasses out for us when we returned from dinner. They were the most friendly inn-keepers we had throughout our trip, and we would definitely stay at this B&B again. The countryside is beautiful, but if you're looking for excitement, County Meath probably isn't the best choice for you; however, if you want rest, relaxation and good conversation, Cranmoor is an excellent option for an overnight stay.

Best B&B our whole trip. From the comfy electric blankets to the homemade raspberry jam, perfection is in the details.
