My husband and I stayed at White Lodge earlier this week, and we very much enjoyed our stay. Our room was quite comfortable, and the location was great. When we arrived the owner gave us walking directions to Trim Castle (which was quite enjoyable and only a few minutes walk). It was nice to have a guest computer available. The breakfast was quite enjoyable, too.

I stay in the Whitelodge B& B regularly and find it excellent . The location is great, its handy to get anywhere and the town of Trim is beautiful. The host Todd is just fantastic, very friendly and accommodating . The rooms warm, clean and comfortable , I always get a good nights sleep and a hot shower. The breakfast is great perfectly cooked and plenty of it.There is wifi and a great large sitting area should you want to use it. Great value for money. I will most definately be back to stay in the near future and would have no hesitation in recommending this B&B to family and friends..

It was a pity we could only stay the one night. We came across this place as we drove through the main street into town. Fantastic location handy to everything.
We couldn’t believe the size of the rooms, and the cleanliness was impeccable ! We had a great night’s sleep in the very comfortable bed and the next morning had a fantastic breakfast cooked to order. The owner Todd & a lovely lady called Aileen was really lovely very accommodating and were really welcoming and warm people. I'd definitely go back great stop off if you are in the Trim location.

The hospitality and convenience of the White Lodge helped make our recent trip to Ireland a happy and memorable one. My sister and I traveled with our almost 90 year old mother to revisit the area of her childhood in the royal county of Meath. In addition to a nice, warm room on the ground level, comfortable beds, modern bathroom, easy carpark, tasty Irish breakfasts, internet access, central location (on the Dublin Navan Road and short walk to Trim Castle), our congenial host Tod made every effort to make us feel welcome; answering questions, offering suggestions, and even providing pots of Barry's tea and good coffee when we relaxed in the living room. While most of our days were spent in the Meath area, from the White Lodge, we took day trips to relatives and friends in Kildare and Wicklow (little over an hour away), and Belfast (little over 2 hours). It was nice at the end of the day to return to a toasty room, and then wake up to the hearty breakfast with everything from organic yogurt to those delicious Irish sausages. And the price was right, too. Thank you to Tod and The White Lodge.

First off I have to say I disagree with the last review...White Lodge is a great B&B, with a great host who is so welcoming, warm and helpful. The house is perfectly situated for any travel to Dublin, Meath, Wicklow or up North. The rooms have everything needed to make the stay pleasant. On the nights we stayed there..the common areas were filled with other travellers who were just sitting round chatting and laughing. The Breakfast is just..tasty. Ive stayed in many hotels in Ireland - most of these 4* / 5* and tbh the experience in Whitelodge is up there with them..
We had the unfortunate task to get to a funeral in Trim from Kerry and had a bad car accident the day we were meant to arrive at the B&B. We had to go to hospital with a family member and didnt leave until 1am arriving at (Todds) White Lodge around 2am ( we should have arrived at 5pm the previous evening), he waited up for us to leave us in and even brought a tray of tea and bickies down.. We stayed for two nights afterwards, never made the funeral as my mother was just too sick but Todd the owner was there every minute phoning the doctor for her, making us tea, checking routes on the net for travel, even coordinating the local doctor on call for us. His compassion and warm personality is hard to find these days when so many people are quick to judge or havent got the time for people in the first place.
So, we are all at home now, ordeal all over, BUT I will be back to a place that is home from home and a good friend will welcome us again into his home.

We arrived at White lodge to find no one home. After over 30 minutes of waiting a neighbor asked us if we were waiting to check in. He called the owner, who had forgotten our reservation. The neighbor let us in, and showed us our room which was adequate. It feels like a strip motel with the rooms off the annex of the back of the house. We did briefly meet the owner before we went into town to enjoy dinner, but no mention was made of breakfast times. We were up early the next morning, and ready to head for breakfast, but the door was locked to the common areas, and there was no sign of life in the house. We decided not to stay, but to head off for our days travel. The location of the house is great, but there was no communication with the host, and no information in the room about breakfast. We may have had a much better experience if the host had remembered us.
