200 quid for 3 rounds of golf, 2 nights b&b and 1 dinner. Superb value and quality of service second to none. Breakfast and dinner were both excellent. Bar next door with nite club in the back. Residents bar open til 4am. Highly recommend.

Stayed for one night in March on a hen package where we went to Causey farm. Fantastic package! We arrived to lunch and a glass of bubbly, they even brought t out more sandwiches. I arrived before the rest of the crowd and they let me check in early and offered me food.

The rooms contain all the basics, without any frills: TV, safe, kettle, hairdryer, soaps, shampoo, towels, extra pillows etc. The ‘hen room’ is massive and has two double beds and was plenty of room for us all to meet before dinner. The dinner put on was lovely and the menu wasn’t that limited but rather surprised. They had us in a separate room so we didn’t annoy other restaurant guest and enabled us to give the hen presents. Really made it more special and kept the group together. Afterwards we were escorted into the bar where there was a section set aside for us and then in the nightclub we also had a section set out for us all which was great as meant the older ones could have seats and when we went to dance there was an area to return to. Also the bonus was it was then only a short stroll next door to the hotel.

Breakfast was buffet and you could order hot food. They even asked if you wanted more. Staff and service was great and could not be faltered

The farm experience was unreal and got everyone together as not everyone knew each other.
Would definitely recommend this for a hen party.

We were viewing sights in the area and found this Hotel for lunch. The choices were varied but we chose the sandwiches which were made in front of us. The service was excellent and the warmth and friendliness by the staff exceptional. The pub was bursting with hungry visitors and all left well satisfied.

So we bought vouchers for spa treatments at this midland hotel and saw that it offered both afternoon tea *and* champagne with the deal. That was it - I was not driving home so we also booked a stayover. We expected very little but were wowed on so many fronts.

This is a hotel onion - each time we stripped back a layer, we found something else we liked. We found it, as expected, on the main street. Directed through an arch to the parking lot, I expected to find a small yard but instead found an extensive car park with ample free parking for the hotel. And it was surprise after surprise thereafter.

We entered the hotel through the bar which was heaving with people. The atmosphere was great. Everytime we were in the bar or passing through, it was full but each time, with different people. Firstly, it was families, later it was hens availing of the hotel package, later still were people having afternoon tea. It seems to serve so many needs of the visitor and local community.

The spa rooms were suprisingly small but the treatments were excellent. The staff were professional but welcoming. So very pleasant.

We were on our way out to the car park when we saw a room made up for a wedding - we had to have a peep. It was stunning - one long banquet table prepared with such detail and taste. If I had been a bride, I would have been very pleased indeed!

We decided to eat at the hotel restaurant. I was expecting a real country style affair - white tablecloths and oodles of stainless steel. I stand corrected. It was a fab, modern, room. The menu was excellent and the meal even more so. We ate breakfast in the same room the next morning and the food was again excellent. One thing I particularly liked was that the breakfasts were cooked fresh and to order instead of kept being kept on a buffet set up.

The room? It was nice, clean and what was expected with a lovely modern bathroom. This is where it fell down a bit for us, however. I appreciate that the hotel was exceptionally busy but I had asked for a room in a quiet location. It all seemed fine until we realised we were beside a night club. I felt we should have been warned. The other low point was the toilet paper - enough to say that it was so budget, it reminded me of boarding school.

The real star of this hotel is the staff. They are exceptional. Every single one does that extra bit for the guests. I travel extensively and can safely say that these are some of the nicest hotel professionals I have had the pleasure to meet. There was *no* exception.

We will be back!
