The history of the Boyne Valley, and especially Kells as an ancient monastic center, is fascinating! The High Crosses and Round Tower in Kells are classic. The relocated Market Cross is gorgeous. The little town is lively and charming. Parking can be difficult.....DON'T forget to purchase a "pay and display" ticket!

So glad you enjoyed our little but lovely town!! Thanks for the reminder to all visitors - parking here is paid parking on Monday - Saturday (Sundays are free). Don't forget forget to purchase a "pay and display" ticket as the fines can be hefty - currently €40 upwards.

Details on parking: http://www.meath.ie/CountyCouncil/TownCouncilsandLocalAreaOffices/KellsTownCouncilandAreaOffice/ParkinginKells/

Other than that, thanks letting everyone know how much you enjoyed your visit.
