Zamárdi (a sleepy small beach resort with the longest free public beach of the Balaton) has not much places to go out.
The place one of the places in the region, where wine has been produced, and efforts are made to revive this activity.
In a nice small valley in the small hills above Zamardi there were a number of private wine cellers, and some of them are renewed for this activity.
The St, Kristof Winery was the first in the line, and for around 10 years they welcome their guests under nice old(er) trees in the garden (or in the cellar).
Nice cold plates are served with home made delicecies, nice (light) local wines kill your thirst and if you order in advance: you may even enjoy the home made strudel -one of th best in the country.
On some occasions even music (mainly jazz and world music) is played.
A place for a cosy evening
