We just spent a weekend with our friends, celebrating my wife's 40th birthday in this hotel, which was recommended by friends. We had the birthday dinner prepared by Christos and his team (top class food), and ended up having a dancing party, a perfect night altogether. The owners helped with bookings in nearby restaurants, and provided directions on footpath walks for a group of 14 people, during the weekend. Breakfast is very good, with a constant feeling that they will go that extra mile to satisfy all your needs. The service is immaculate and discreet, the team is very professional; this is not a combination you typically come across in this part of the world, unfortunately (praise to Fotis for his tireless effort).

The hotel decoration is unique, an english countryside lodge, combined with the breathtaking scenery of Pelion. The library room is something we all wish we had at home, a place to spend time conversing with friends over a glass of wine or brandy. If your first priority is a 70 sq metre room with a hot tub, queing up to sign the breakfast register and be seated, this is not the right hotel for you. But, if that is the case, why go to Pelion in the first place.....

We will be going back to this hotel, every year, i believe the same is true for our friends.
Looking forward to the another "excuse" to spend time with friends at the Lost Unicorn.

Keep up the good work Christo and Clare.

Note: do ask about the history of the building when visiting; interesting on how it got its name: Lost in translation......

If I was a Unicorn I'd want to get lost here too! Idyllic hotel, wonderful hosts, pretty location - just a perfect, relaxing experience. Just come back from there and now looking to go back next year for another 'hit'. The owners, Clare and Christos are so welcoming, the decor is exquisite and the food is good and there is plenty of it. The English breakfast sets you up for a day of exploring the lovely Pelion and it's great beaches and sitting out on the terrace in the evening whilst the sound of some jazz music wafts over you as your eating great food cooked by Christos - just perfect again. September is a great time to go as it's not too hot but this place would be great in April and May when all the flowers are coming out. Sitting on the terrace here, is one of those experiences that you want to repeat again and again. I can't wait to go back.

This hotel is the perfect escape, it's situation is absolutely idyllic in an already stunning part of the world which is why I keep coming back every year. The service is impeccable and the rooms are exquisitely decorated in classical style. If I could some up this place in one word it would be "perfection". A "must see" destination and a "must stay" hotel, I could not recommend it anymore.

I had coffee and chocolate cheese cake in the cafe on the square. I dont know what it is like to stay there but the whole experience and setting had me completely immersed in magic. A forgotten corner of British eccentricity in a timeless oasis in a cobbled village on the ancient slopes of Mount Pelion

This is definitely not your usual Pelio B&B. The lost unicorn is a "weird" merging of local & UK elements (the owners come from the UK), with full English breakfast and full of antiques, mostly related to unicorns. Hundreds of books, CDs and DVDs lying around, which the guests are free to use and the best view towards the Agia Paraskevi beautiful square

Ideal for Spring and Autumn (would not chose it for a summer stay, since it's rather dark, hidden in trees and with small balconies)

The owners have been polite and discreet at the same time and their cats and dogs, sharing the living room with us and quite adorable

I don't generally write reviews for hotels, since I tend to focus more on the surroundings and the people of the places I visit. The exception is when I stumble across something I consider unique. And this hotel is just that: unique. It doesn't hurt that it is located in Tsagarada one of the most majestic villages in Pylion, next to a 1500 old platanos tree. But it is not just that: it is the fact that you can see that the hotel is the implementation of a brilliant idea, beautifully executed: what if we took a bed and breakfast and implemented it in an old traditional type villa in Greece? The answer to that question is the Lost Unicorn and the implementation is just perfect. From the wonderful people to the amazing location, everything is awesome. For those seeking truly unique and wondrous experiences, I would urge you to visit this one of a kind hotel and location.

If you want to experience a hotel in the most picturesque region of Greece that you only thought existed in books set in the 1930's, this is the one. With a wonderful combination of atmosphere, great food, comfortable accommodation and friendliness. Set in the historic square of 'Agia Paraskevi' with it's ancient church and thousand year old London Plane tree. All set on the lush mountain side of the Pelion, surrounded by some of the best beaches int the world. This is Greece at it's very best......

Room Tip: All the rooms are very good and they do offer single rooms if required.
