“nice hotel in a superb location and beautiful rooms but...”
Reviewed March 17, 2013

The hotel is located in Tsagkarada, in the middle of the forest, with nice vies of the Aegean Sea. I have to write both positive and negative points.
1. The rooms are beautiful and combine the modern luxury with the traditional look, and floor heating
2. Excellent view
3. The gym is ok [machines are not well maintained] and the spa area needs advice from experts [there is no hairdryer to use after the douche and the weather outside was 1 degree celcius...]
4. Food is below average. Nothing of local produce in the breakfast...not a 5 star hotel breakfast...In the dinner the choice is limited, fairly priced, and moderately cooked. My daughter of 5 had a pasta and even she told me that it was over boiled...
5. Views from restaurant are superb
6. The reception personnel is very polite as all personnel in general
7. The massage was very good
8. i cannot understand the situation in this and many hotels with smoking. It is UNACCEPTABLE to allow smoking in common areas. Even in the breakfast a lady asked if she could smoke and she was replied that if our daughter was not there it would not be problem, and she could smoke inside near the fireplace, meaning that adults are fine with others smoking and that smoking in common areas is ok. Amazing!!!

High on a mountain, in a chestunt tree forest with a spectacular view of the northern Aegean sea. Off the road and off the beaten path in so many ways. The hotel itself is lovely done, as a cluster of local architecture homes, with all amenities at hand. Rooms are spacious, clean and warm. A really lovely well done Hotel.
Unfortunately the region of Pelion itself, though gifted with breathtakingly beautiful nature, is in decline and that's a shame. A handful only of decent places to eat or drink, deteriorating infrastructure and an ever present feeling of abandonment. It breaks my heart.

This hotel was a pleasant surprise: the rooms are roomy and well appointed, even had floor heating, the beds were an absolute pleasure to sleep in (Cocomat), the breakfast was pleasing in terms of quality and variety, the location is excellent, all in all, a very very good hotel; in my humble opinion one of the top 3 around the greater Pelion area.

The bad: the hotel, for a 5 star hotel, lacks facilities for children. There is no inside or outside playground to keep the little ones busy. The restaurant has little choice (however you can venture out to Tsagarada and there is ample choice of great food out there).

The good: The beds! Really!

Room Tip: The rooms in the back and on the bottom of the resort enjoy no view, so make sure when you book to a...

I have been a returning guest to the hotel sice it first opened. I have also visited a couple of luxury hotels located in the area of Pilion. After all this, I can firmly conclude that the magnificent location and the customised service makes th difference. At "12 Months Resort" you really feel special and you can satisfy all your needs. I was there a week ago, and for the first time I spent a whole morning mountain biking, an experience you do not want to miss, specially if it is followed by a hamam at the Hotel.

Once we have discovered this hidden gem with my husband, we could not resist from coming back again and again, sometimes with friends and family and keep recommending as the perfect place for a short escape.

Originally from Thessalia, I have visited almost every small, boutique, luxury hotel in Pilion mountain but ny this combines everything at a perfect balance. Not only everything is taken care in detail but also the owners keep developing the place by introducing new facilities on a regular basis, like the spa, the rich cigar room, the yoga weekends etc.

The rooms are of exquisite design, always with respect to the local architecture. Very Spacious, with separate toilet and shower, offering broad views to the sea; for summer time ask for one with a terrace, for winter one with a fireplace. Some of the rooms also dispose cooking facilities and a minibar with a big variety of soft and alcohol drinks. Excellent room service, with a variety of local and contemporary dishes, is also available up to midnight,if you feel like staying in the room and enjoying the warm atmosphere.

What is remarkable is how they make you feel like been at your own country house: the kind of service, the quality of the food, the respect to the guest is the take away feeling all the time. It is definitely a value for money choice.

We spent there a week with my wife and my 22monthls old daugter. We were very satified from our choice. The hotel is in Tsagkarada less than a km from the center of the village and around 7km from the nearest see and 15km from the most distant hotels.

Tsagkarada is a beautiful village, blessed from the gods. If you have heard of Pelio then you know what to expect. It can be a bit boring for teenagers or young couples but for families with really young children is great.

The hotel combines traditional architecture, spacious rooms and and beautiful facilities.
The quality of the spa is a surprise.
The swimming pool is not big but again if very high quality standards - perfect for kids or babies.

Most of the rooms are really bif for two persons, and decorated traditionally charming.
If I had to complaint for something that would be airconditioning infrasturcture. It looked older than the hotle and rather noisy from my standards.

Breakfast was excellence and the restaurant not great but satisfactory enough.
Fianlly but not least, all the people that work there, although very young, were very helpful and pleasant.

Prices in my opinion were not great but fair enough.
