“Luxury Hotel, good service”
Reviewed February 15, 2013

Excellent traditional settlement located in a very beautiful village of Portaria at Pelion Mountain.
Very nice room with traditional decoration and fireplace. Satisfactory hotel service and polite staff.
Recommended for quiet and relax stay. Average breakfast but in quantity.

Palladio Hotel,PORTARIAS 25, Pelion, Greece 37011
This hotel does not provide hot water!
We went for 3 days this august with our one and a half month baby (we had informed the hotel about the baby). Soon after our arrival the baby pooped so we had to wash it. The water was lukewarm but it was not too bad since it was still evening and the weather was naturally hot as it usually is in Greece in august. Suddenly, and I really mean it, the water turns freezing cold! I had put soap on the baby’s back and I didn’t know how to wash it off! At the end I was wetting my hand and just rubbing off the soap from my baby who had started screaming (usually the baby loves water –as babies do-).
As our baby was born in the beginning of July, we hadn’t had any holidays the whole summer, so these 3 days were the only escape we had and we really needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. We complained to the owner of the hotel in a very civilized way. He said he had never had such complains before and that perhaps it happened to us because a lot of the rooms were occupied and perhaps all occupants were using the water at the same time...
The same evening I took a shower and the water was suddenly turning freezing cold as I feared!
The next morning my husband took a shower and of course the water was turning from lukewarm to freezing cold all the time! I could hear him swearing all the time (he really enjoys having warm showers...).
We again complained and we got the same answer “it is not the hotel’s problem; there are too many rooms occupied and everyone is using the hot water at the same time”
1. We tried using the hot water at different times of the day. I really don’t think that all the other occupants were using the hot water too every time we did!
2. The management’s reply: it is not the hotel’s problem, it is our customers’ (for drawing water)... This, of course, is simply outrageous!
As we wanted to enjoy ourselves we did not complain any further but we are now posting this review. Honestly, we have been travelling quite a lot and this is the first time we felt so bad about a hotel that we decided to post a negative review!
