Have the homecooked meals here first before visiting other restaurants. Menu is not vast , but what wonderful dishes! Not fine dining but hearty delicious meals with the most welcoming, relaxing laid-back atmosphere. We saw children being welcomed and made a fuss over, singletons quietly enjoying their holiday reading over a drink, holiday crowds and locals tucking in at lunch and dinner times.. the place could be accessed via the beach or the main road on foot.. plenty of parking.. the owners, husband and wife team, are the best. Prices very reasonable. We were back again and again after disappointments at other restaurants in our travels and it put our faith back into Samos food.

“Lefteris was just an exceptional host and the waitress.”
Reviewed October 13, 2013 via mobile

'No Stress' certainly is the way of life at this taverna. Very welcoming people and although you eat outside with grapes growing above your head, its just got a lovely atmosphere. The food is very tasty and lots of it, Greek cuisine is basic, so dont expect the ritz. Lefteris is a good host and makes you feel at home, he would accommodate what you would like to eat if it's not on menu and you also get a free dessert. I highly reccommend Pegasus.

“Pitstop Paradise”
Reviewed September 29, 2013

We had lunch here on three occasions en route from Villa Anna Studios to the beach. Although the layout is very simple and "beachy" the food was excellent. The toilets were exceptionally clean for such a busy and touristy taverna (however quite a few locals ate here also).

“Good food, great price”
Reviewed September 6, 2013

We ate here a few times on our recent trip to the Island, staying at the nearby Evelin Hotel.

Location not fantastic as it's right on quite a busy road, although at the far end of the outside seating area you're closer to the sea, but not overlooking it.

Food was great, we enjoyed the Moussaka, Stifado and Greek salad. The free desert each time was a nice touch.

Staff are very lively and fun and service was quick.

Each meal, with a drink for 2 people was surprisingly cheap, about 30 Euros in total.

What's not to like?!

“Excellent Food”
Reviewed August 27, 2013

We have just returned from 2 weeks in Pythagorio. We ate at the Pegasus every evening. The restaurant is run by Lefteris and his wife Roula. They are excellent hosts and you are always sure of a warm welcome. Roula prepares and cooks the food herself and it really does taste like home cooking. The menu is varied enough to have a different meal every evening and the prices are excellent value for money and of ample portions. The Saturday barbecue with 3 courses and all the local wine you can drink for 14 euros per head is also excellent value for money. Many of Lefteris's customers are people who return year on year. Lefteris is a "larger than life" character who is entertainment in himself. No visit to Pythagorio would be complete without a visit to the Pegasus,
