“A Stunning Place to Stay”
Reviewed September 2, 2013

My partner and I stayed at the Enalion Suites for 10 nights for the first time and we both thought that it was an exceptional place to stay albeit a bit on the pricey side in August!

Our room (side sea view junior suite) was spacious, clean and had a lovely terrace on the ground floor looking out onto the beautiful gardens. (Room 20).

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast plentiful and varied on the lovely terrace (despite the wasps)!!

The pool area is beautiful with stunning views across the bay and very comfortable sunbeds.

A few minor criticisms that we both had were that one of the male staff in particular was not very friendly or helpful and we felt that it would make a better adult only resort rather than having lots of screaming kids in the quiet pool area destroying the peace and tranquility for those couples wanting a quiet, relaxing holiday.

Maid service is excellent (twice a day) and clean bedding and towels every day too.

Enalion is definitely a luxury resort in a superb location and we would consider going back there again in the future.

Room Tip: Room 20 is very private on the ground floor with a large terrace.

We have been to Kefalonia five times before, but we 've never stayed anywhere nearly as good as this.

The suite was excellent: large bedroom, open plan lounge/kitchen/diner, bathroom, balcony with lovely view of the gardens and sea. Maid service was very efficient, twice a day.

The swimming pools are spotless and well designed and there is a good bar/restaurant next to them. One beach is down a short stairway near the pool area, and others are nearby.

Breakfast was an outstanding buffet: a big bowl of yoghurt with another of honey and fruits of all kinds - fresh peaches, plums, melons, dried and crystalised fruits. Cold meats and cheese with tomatoes featured, as well as bacon, little frankfurters, eggs scrambled and poached, baked beans, cheese and spinach pies, bread and pastries of several kinds, cereals, etc etc.

The staff are really friendly and helpful and the location is ideal.

We hope to return.

Our family has stayed here a couple of times because the hotel is situated on a beautiful piece of property over looking the sea, rooms are very spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool is just spectacular and the food at the restaurant is really good and prices are great. Unfortunately, after talking to many other local Greeks and other travelers renting hotels on the island, Enalion is the "highest" price on the island. While it is probably one of the best, there are certain things that we did not like. Everything is strictly "business" there is no warm and fuzzy feeling from the staff. Breakfast is only served until 10:00am sharp. While I do understand that there are rules, Greece a place where people eat dinner very late and come home very late. Everything is slow and restaurants open for dinner around 7:30 and not goes til 9 or 10, so 10:00am breakfast strict cut off was difficult for us. My husband also had great difficulty with wifi in the room, which for the price per night is unacceptable.

To sum it up we really enjoyed this place and beauty, just not paying top dollar and not getting great service.

If you want a hotel in Kefalonia where you will walk (not climb) to the beach and have decent family rooms, then this is a perfect choice!
There are not that many “sophisticated” hotels in Kefalonia and certainly none with immediate access to such nice beaches as Enalion.
Yes it is located in Lassi, a very touristy area of the island and close to the airport. But you only get to hear a maximum 3-4 takeoffs a day, usually around midday, so this is not a real problem.
The whole hotel grounds are covered with trees and extremely thick (for Greek standards) grass, this is perfect for families with small children, who can roam around the grounds safely (ask for a ground floor suite). This has a minor side effect that in August you get a lot of wasps/bees flying around (the staff burn coffee in special pots to keep them away).
The breakfast buffet, although of limited choice, is of good quality, the fact that they stopped at 10am was a bit annoying.
It is obvious that some very knowledgeable people were involved in thinking over every detail of the hotel, from the menus, the wine lists, etc
The staff were extremely polite, hard working and trying to cater to our every need.
The quality of the restaurant food is excellent and we ended up eating in, a number of days. This was helped by the lack of any decent restaurants within walking distance (=tourist traps). The fact that “room service” did not have a surcharge, helped in ordering dinner and eating it in the garden of our room.
The room/suite is equipped with a fully equipped kitchen, including a full
size fridge, meaning we could stock up on all sorts of foodstuffs, including ice!

Room Tip: If you have children choose a garden suite, so that they can easily roam the safe gardens

Stayed here for 14 nights in a 2 bed suite on ground floor overlooking pool and bay . Wow !! If you want a hotel that goes that little bit further, has great views, attentive staff , good food and most importantly a peaceful nights sleep then this is the place.
A big thank you to Vasiliki, Maria and the rest of the staff ( including maids who came in twice daily ). The rooms were fantastic and air con a blessing at times .37 degrees.!!
Always plenty of , very comfortable , sun beds and umbrellas available no matter what time you arrived at the pool. No mad rush after breakfast , in fact no mad rush at all.
Breakfast was good and suited our 3 hungry sons. Poolside bar /restaurant serves typical Greek food for lunch and dinner. Above average food with great views of the bay included.
Hired a car for 3 days and visited a lot of the island . Also hired a speed boat out of Agia Efemia for a day and visited some secluded beeches and coves for snorkelling. Kids loved it . All of this was organised by the hotel staff.
Just to let you know how good they are, my wife inadvertently left her Kindle on the plane on arrival. Did not realise until we were checking in at hotel . 1 hour later it was delivered to our hotel room door .
We will be returning sooner than later .

Room Tip: Room 26 . Ground floor 2 bedroom suite with lounge and dining area. Overlooks pool and bay. Superb.

Stayed beginning July. Gardens and pool area are beautiful and made for a very relaxing week. Were offered option of first floor one bedroom suite with balcony or same on ground floor with patio opening onto gardens. Chose ground floor and loved being able to walk straight down to pool. The suites are very spacious with excellent air con and was very useful having fridge, kettle etc.
Had no success connecting devices to wifi but there was a computer in reception available for guest use.
The breakfasts were excellent. Bear in mind dishes are removed shortly after breakfast time finishes (10am I think), so don't arrive late or you might miss out. The staff work very had at making everything perfect, including housekeeping in rooms twice a day.
Only niggles were, as already mentioned by other reviewers, shower having no hook up on wall and €17 charge for using cooker, neither of which were major problems and certainly not deal breakers.
had a wonderful week and would definitely say the enalion suites are the best place to stay in lassi.
