We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Princess Hotel and we had a fantastic time. The rooms are basic, but they were clean and we did not have any complaints. The pool area is really nice and there are plenty of sun-beds. We ate lunch at the pool bar a few times and the food was lovely, as was the food at the Greek night.

The staff are all friendly, but a special mention must go to the barman, Mihalis. We started every night (and ended some!) with a few drinks in the hotel bar and Mihalis always made us laugh!

The hotel is in a fab location - a beautiful beach is just across the road, and there are more than enough bars and restaurants just a short walk down the road.

There were some bad reviews for the hotel on this site. They have now mostly been removed, as they were completely fictitious - but if you have read them, please ignore them. We would recommend this hotel.

we recently stayed at this hotel,, it was very clean, all facilities were good ,but what made our week were the staff, food was well priced and to a high standard,it is really well located near a lovely beach that was clean and not overcrowded... the local supermarkets are well priced and you get the feeling that you are not getting ripped off,,as we found with the rest of the island after hiring a car for 2x days...we will go back to the island and would have no hesitation at all to stay here and use it as a base

Room Tip: rooms away from pool area are quiet

We recently returned from a 9 night stay in the Princess, Lassi, Cefelonia, having stayed in some luxurious hotels in the past and some down and out dumps also, I am well placed to report that this hotel is neither, it is located fantastically for one of the most beautiful beaches i have ever been on, it is convenient for the resteraunts, bars and shops.
Our room, was a room, very clean and functional, daily cleaned by the diligent staff, the pool area was good to relax around with a handy bar, plenty of sun beds. The Staff were very polite and helpful, would i go back is always the test for me, the answer is yes with a caveat, i would get a room with a view next time.

Room Tip: get a room on the side of the hotel if that makes sense, not at the back.

this is a lovely hotel with great staff and wonderful surroundings. Ignore anyone who says otherwise! The rooms are spotlessly clean like the rest of the hotel and the food offered was of a good standard - beautiful beaches across the road from the hotel, a great pool at the hotel and lovely tavernas/bars within walking distance. Give it a go - you won't be disappointed.

My wife a I have recently returned from a lovely holiday at the Princess Hotel, Lassi. The hotel is very clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are cleaned and the towels changed every day. The air conditioning and safe and came with no extra charge, very useful. The breakfast was basic but adequate, ham, cheese, boiled eggs, yoghurt, honey, toast, etc. and as much tea or coffee as you like. Our room was on the top floor with a lovely view but there were 44 steps from the reception area. Lassi has many tavernas and they all seem to be very popular.
We walked into Argostoli one day, about 45 minutes, and caught the local bus back, but taxis are passing all the time.
One day we caught the local bus to Sami, very pretty and quiet, it takes about an hour, and cost 4 euros each. Another day we went on the ferry to Lixouri and back, takes about 30 minutes each way, well worth the trip!
All told it was a lovely, enjoyable holiday, look forward to next time in Kefalonia, our favourite holiday destination!

First of all having read the bad reviews I can only assume these people have this confused with another Princess Hotel!! We are used to Greek Hotels so went not expecting the 5 star Hilton, but even with these expectations we were blown away by the Hotel, Island and whole holiday experience.

The hotel is clean and not a sign of any rubbish, broken fittings or creepy crawlies! The staff are really friendly and helpful and bent over backwards to helps us when we needed it. Advice......if you are nice and respectful to the locals they will be the same with you! The pool and pool area is lovely although we did spend nearly every day at the beach as it is so fantastic. The room was basic but more than comfortable for us, and the sheets and towels were changed on a regular basis. Bathroom was basic but clean and did the job. We asked for a sea view and boy did we get one, we had a fantastic view looking our to the ocean and also the surrounding hills.

The breakfast was nice, and there was pastries, biscuits, breads, boiled eggs, cereal with milk or greek yoghurt, and fresh water melon. These were all absolutly fine while not amazing.

All in all we loved the Princess Hotel and would go back.

The beach just across the road (less than 5 mins to walk) is called Makris Galios beach and is wonderful, but be warned the sunbeds are 6-7 euros a day. But if you love the beach you'll pay that for this one! The beach bars to the right end of the beach are better value for money than costa costa which is the more lively end of the beach. Lassi in general is lovely but slightly expensive to eat and drink. Oscars resturant is worth a visit but only if they are doing the greek night, it is a bit boring on a normal night. Also the walk there is a bit on the long side but some wonderful views. We walked into Argostoli one night and weren't impressed. Not a nice walk (busy roads and not pathed all the way) and pretty rubbish when you get there, but thats just our opinion.

We hired a car from one of the hire places and visited Myrtos Beach (amazing and well worth a day of sunbathing), Fiskardo (our favourite place to visit for an afternoon) and the caves (great fun) also Antisami is also a very nice beach. I would recommend car hire as the island is so beautiful and the roads a doddle to drive on.

Fantastic holiday and the Princess Hotel was a big part of that!
