We stayed for a week which was ok basic room 2 single beds pushed together. I double wardrobe a few coat hangers. only had a very small saucepan thing to hboil water in for a cuppa ,we did have a coffee machine which we didnt use it didnt look in the best of conditions..Balcony was ok, you can see the sea if you stand at the far end.not the best of views i must say, right in front of us was the bungalow number 7/8 luckly we made friends with the couple staying there so it was nice having chats over the balcony. The cats were a bleeding pest we left the doors open one afternoon while having a snooze like you do and one jumped on my bed frightened the life out of me then the cat calling was hideous the tree round the corner is where they lie and fight one another, have put a picture on somewhere. We did find the apartment was placed close, walking distance to the 1 street (main street) for restaurants,nightlife..I found lassi too quiet for me, we did walk into Argostolli twice its a lovely bay plenty of shops nice bars..Did a fair bit of walking mainly up hills.Weather was lovely did have a rain pour just once on a afternoon which was quiet good.Dont think i'd go back to lassi purely because not enough going on for me..

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the first floor better views and you dont get the noise like we did on the ground...

Just had a week in Lassi, staying at Thekla Studios. Was very pleased with the room and location. 3 in our room and was basic but we weren't in the room much anyway. We did have a terrace we could sit at and the views of the sea were lovely. Lots of restaurants to eat out in and the last thing I want to do on holiday is cooking. Bedding changed and clean towels every other day. Would recommend this to others and hope to go back before the end of the season.

The Thekla Studios is an unattractive building set in a prime location. The layout is truly appalling with two additional apartments (Nos. 7 & 8) having been stuck on the back as an afterthought. This means that none of the ground floor apartments have a view (except No.8), and the small outdoor sitting areas feel cramped and overlook one another. There are no flowers, plant pots or trellises. The owners have guessed that no one would want to sit and have their meals here, and so only provide plastic tables big enough for two teacups. Facilities are basic, as you would expect. There are two hotplates built into the draining board but no surfaces on which to prepare food, and, apart from the fridge, no cupboards to put food in. Some of the rooms do have a microwave but not all. One wonders what criteria Olympic uses when choosing accommodation. I have no doubt that the Thekla meets requirements for smoke alarms and hygiene etc, it just doesn’t feel like a nice place to be. If you are very lucky you might get one of the three upper apartments (Nos. 1-3) which have a balcony with a view, but I suspect they may be small as they are rated for up to two people. The ground floor apartments are rated for up to three people, and these are not large even for two. There is a run-down property immediately adjoining the Thekla where they have three dogs. These bark loudly and pretty much continuously throughout the night, so this means either earplugs or sleeping with the windows closed. I booked the Thekla after checking the position on Google Earth and saw it’s proximity to the sea. Unfortunately, the owner has developed the site for maximum revenue with no thought for customer experience. The reason you won’t find a photo of the rear of the building is that there is nowhere to stand to take one without a fisheye lens. If you can guarantee booking apartment Nos. 1-3 or No.8, then it might be worth considering, but if not, I cannot recommend staying at the Thekla Studios.

The room was cleaned once during our stay, and the bathroom bin emptied twice, this is disgusting and is in no way acceptable when paper products cannot be flushed.

We arrived and shown to our room by the rep she opened the door and said, let me get out of the way, so you can get in, we went in, turned to ask her a question, and she was gone!

We had room 7 at Thekla studios, basicaly a cave. We could not open the doors or windows for fresh air because of the many many cats hanging around, and the stagnent water out side the french windows. The cats are obviously used to been fed by all visitors, even when there is a notice advising you not too for health and safty reasons. I feel the rep could have been firmer with the visitors with regards to this, as some poeple do not want cats spoiling the holiday, cat allergies and phobias are common place.
The stagnent water was caused by a dripping tap, we were advised, but even when the tap did not drip, if anyone used the tap the water collected outside this room due to the poor drainainge, water will never drain from this area with out further constuction work.
Our view from the one door was the roof of a house, the other a wall. Why was the rep, staying in a far superior room, room 8 with amazing views, when she admitted she was never there, surley room 7 would be better allocsted to the staff and paying gursts room 8.
We spoke to the rep re the cats and water, she did put a note through our door to say she had spoken to the guest who was feeding them and advised to feed them elsewhere, and got the tap, fixed.

As you can imagine we wil not be re booking with Olmpic holidays

The accommodation is, as is usual for 2 star self catering, basic but clean. In fact it was very clean, and it was serviced three times in the week, which is better than usual. We were impressed by the shower, which although the head leaked, was in a real shower cubicle, with sliding doors!
We were in room 6, round the back on the ground floor with a view of the sea if you sat at the far end of the terrace, otherwise you were sheltered by the wall of the room next door.
The kitchen equipment is again, the usual basic assortment, but as we always eat out at night in Greece, it was perfectly adequate for our needs - quick breakfast and the occasional salad lunch.

Lassi is ok as Greek holiday towns go, but whether it was because we went in September towards the end of the season or because it's a purpose built resort and hasn't grown out of an old village, it seemed to lack the personality and heart that you usually get in Greece.
Anyway, we had a lovely week there and can especially recommend the Nefeli and the Phaedra tavernas, although we ate in plenty of other places and every meal was enjoyable. The Mystic bar does a lovely breakfast.

Weather-wise, we had four great days and then a bit of a storm, followed by a day or so of rain showers, hardly a surprise in September. We visited Ithaka, on the excursion organised by Olympic, and found it good value and enjoyable, as was the Island Delights tour, which was made complete by Jackie the guide. Very good.

The only thing which we found to be anything like a problem is the fact that the owners of the Thekla are reluctant to let you pay to keep the room on if you have a night flight home as we did, although they did tell one couple that they had to allow their room to be used as a courtesy room for the rest of us in return for keeping it on for some of the afternoon. Not the sort of thing that it's worth letting spoil your holiday though, is it?

All in all, a good holiday.

Room Tip: You'll have better views from the upstairs rooms.

Just returned from a 2 week stay at the Thekla studios. We were lucky enough to get one of the 3 studios on the upper floor, which I believe are smaller than the studios on the ground floor but far than compansate with the stunning views from the balconys, the sea is literely 40 yards away. Would probably been dissappointed had we been put in one of the lower studios, for us the balcony and views were a big plus.
The studio was basic, as are most in Greece, but adequate enough. Cleaned 3 times a week. The only negative i would give is the need for a toaster. The nearest beach is a few minutes away by the Hotel Mediteranee, probably the nicest in the area (my opinion). Overall an ideal spot to stay in Lassi.

Room Tip: Ask for an upper floor studio, for the balcony and stunning view.

Our room was airy and spacious. Good size fridge, a two ring cooker and microwave. Basic crockery, saucepans, knives and forks etc. Someone commented on the lack of a kettle - we just used a saucepan to boil water. All spotlessly clean. They only have twin beds, so we put the matresses together on the floor after moving the beds around! Nice terrace which overlooked some trees and the sea but that would depend which room you get. We had breakfast there every morning. There was an airer for clothes. Lovely powerful shower.

The room did get hot but there is the option of aircon. at 5 Euros a day - we were ok without. Also a safe at 10 Euros a week which we opted for. There is a fan but some may not be able to sleep with it going, depends how well you sleep. The fridge is obviously on quite a lot but we didn't find it overly noisy to sleep.
The rooms are cleaned twice a week - the lady worked very hard so we left her a tip.
The building is in a quiete area and we had no noise problems from others.
The studios are only 5-10 mins walk away from the main restaurant/taverna strip. Be aware that there is a slight hill though and it can make you sweat in the heat.
There is a sandy beach withinin 5 minutes walk, behind the hotel next door and it's signposted.
There's a bus service every 90 mins to Argoustoli, the main town. Only 1.5 Euros. You can walk it in about 40 mins but we didn't do it more than once, too hot. One way taxi was 6 Euros.
We hired a scooter for 3 days for 45 Euros. I tried out a 300cc and a 125cc. The 125 was a lot easier to manoeuvre. Hired from a shop on the the main Lassi road. I'm a regular, experienced motorcyclist and I would advise caution if you're not. Not saying don't do it but be careful and wear the crash helmets(unlike the locals!) We rode up to Fiscardo to see the Venetian buildings that remained intact after the earthquake.
Down in Agoustoli, it's worth wandering down by the fishing boats. There are a few Loggerhead Turtles to be seen. Magnificent creatures. You need a bit of patience - look for a small crowd and no doubt it'll be because ones been seen.
Loads of restaurants to choose from. We reckoned the best was on the way from the studio to the main Lassi road, the Aqua Marina. Very friendly staff and good food after a couple of Ouzos!
This place suited us really well and we had a fantastic time!
