“hospitality at its best!!!”
Reviewed July 28, 2013

Artemis and Anna are the most nicest hosts I have ever had the pleasure to meet. Very helpful and friendly, made us feel welcome and right at home. Our room was well kept and had a beautiful view of the ocean. We were guided through the whole stay as to what to see and where to go to get the best out of our stay.
*Artemis Village is quite a distance from center of Fira and transportation of any kind is recommended if you really want to be independent and want to see Santorini from top to bottom*

Artemis and Family we thank you for your hospitality and kindness! Elizabeth and Christos (Thessaloniki)

Room Tip: Pick the room on the top floor with the ocean view

I have rally mixed feelings about this guesthouse, so I will just point out some of them:

Positives:
- Very friendly, kind and helpful hosts. Ana and Artemis are absolutely wonderful, their hospitality is legendary (confirmed by TA reviews…); we were picked up from the airpot, always offered beverages or coffee or tea, they were always ready to chat about something, they helped us to organize trip to volcano, recommended some good restaurants in Thira etc, always with smiles on their faces;
- Guesthouse was very cheap, as for Santorini;
- Place was clean, ;
- We were given the choice of three rooms available;
- Sea view form room was gorgeous, I could sit there for 30 minutes, staring at the sea with glass of Assyrtiko in my hand;

Negatives:
- As for the abovementioned rooms… they were very, very basic, beds were uncomfy, walls are very thin, you could hear other guests snoring… bathroom was extremely small; place generally is a little bit worn out…
- Generally it was quiet, as there was only one building next to the guesthouse, of course except time when the plane was landing, as it is next to the airport, plus it is just next to the road;
- Without a car you can’t do nothing really, as there within walking distance you can find only half-volcanic beach (without sunbeds) and one, two tavernas (luckily, we had a car there);

Summarizing, it is a good place if you have a very limited budget, but again, you’ll have to have a car to see or do anything on the Island. Nevertheless, now, for us, great hospitality is not enough to come back there, as we would rather spent more and have some more comforts on holidays;

Room Tip: Any sea view room, as the view is gorgeous!

The owner is super nice. We called him in the morning to ask him to come pick us up at Fira at12. However, we decided to join an afternoon excursion boat trip and called him again to rearrange the pick up time at 6pm, which he also agreed. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly and were offered with welcome drinks. On the next day, we needed to take the 7am flight, and his brother came to pick us up at 6 am sharp. After we arrived at airport, Artemis came to meet us again at 6:30 to give us the hotel receipt and farewelled us. Very nice pickup arrangement. Value for price.

Anna and Artemis were the perfect hosts for our stay here. No favour was too big to ask and you were always met with a friendly hello. Anna was always on hand to offer free tea, coffee, hot chocolate or whatever else you wanted. Our room was gorgeous.....four poster bed with a balcony overlooking the sea. The room was tidied everyday with clean sheets and towels. The pool area was very clean and very relaxing....it was hard to leave! Location wise....it's about 15minutes outside fira so you get to enjoy the bustle of the capital and can retreat back to paradise to rest!! It was great value and we hope to return very soon!!

Anna and Artemis are wonderful hosts and epitomize Greek hospitality. Even the "stray" cats are friendly. This is NOT a luxury hotel. Just a great inexpensive place to stay away from the chaos of Fira, yet close enough to drive or bus to all the major beaches and villages. The hotel is 100 meters from two little family restaurants and about 2k to a little beach. If you like a lazy vacation, the pool at Artemis Village is spotless and the rooms in back have a great view of the ocean.

Room Tip: If you want a view, be sure to request a room on the oceanside. The rooms on ground floor have litt...

Thanks to Artemis, Anna & Maria! Our stay in Santorini couldn't been better. Warmly welcomed at the port by Artemis & his lovely daughter Maria was the great first impression which gained a brownie point. Adding to that, Anna welcomed us with iced coffee (or you could choose tea/juices/water) after a long journey to the island. Then, rooms were offered & shown for our preference...two thumbs up! Spotless room with perfect seaview. Clean bathroom with towels replaced daily. Clean pool & you can swim anytime even after a dip in the sea! Trust me, ANYTIME. Breakfast served INSIDE your room of your balcony. Had the most relaxing time after more than a month travelling across Europe. This was the best place to be. Moreover wifi connection was fast & they have their very own computer which could be used anytime too. Walking distance to 2 taverns with good local traditional food. We even had free ouzos after dinner from the restaurant owner! Best of all, transfers to & from the port are free. Artemis even stopped over for a breath-taking picture while we were on our way down from the cliffs to the port! Bravo! Keep it up~

We stayed just one night in Artemis Village. If you are looking for a quite place in Santorini even in August, Artemis Village is your place. Do not expect a luxurious place close to Santorini's turistic places. Artemis village is a cheap hotel in a quite area. It is really close to the sea. There is a nice swimming pool. Rooms are comfortable and everything is really clean. The owners are really friendly gentle and helpful. Wifi connection is free closed to the reception. It is closed to two nice tavernas.
