Go directly to Bahar, order the lamb stuffed with feta and wrapped in vine leaves, and spend the next 10 minutes in paradise.

Absolutely first class dining experience in our opinion. We dined here 3 times. The first time was at 11pm so we didn't even expect it to be open. We were greeted with smiles and myself and my partner both had chicken caramel and shared a huge salad starter. It was delicious and surprisingly cheap. Two mains one salad starter 2beers 2red wines for under e50. We were then given a complimentary fruit selection and some local raki. Not sure if this is normal practice but we appreciated it. We dined here again one week later close to midnight due to late flight arrive and also the following eveing at 5pm, our experiences somehow just got better. The waiter was knowledgeable on the food, the wine and the raki. At no point during our two late arrivals did we ever feel hurried or unwelcome. If we could smuggle the waiter and the chef back to Australia we would. Eoin and Nicola, Brisbane

This restaurant is certainly different - clay pots painted a lilac kind of colour and swags of cloth in related shades hung from the gazebo. I thought at first it was a little like the sort of thing an overly-romantic 11 year old girl might have dreamed up to create a picture of the Sheikh's harem....

But don't let bit put you off. The staff are excellent - friendly, efficient and knowledgeable. The surroundings are actually quite pleasant once you're in; the menu is quite extensive..... but the food is superb. Other comments on here about sharing starters are spot on. We shared spicy filled flatbread (not pita, more like a chapatti) rolled round the vegetable filling; two each were generous. Presentation of the food is good, too.

Main course was spicy chicken for me and a pork dish for my wife. Again, really, really excellent and very well presented. They didn't offer retsina (our usual preferred wine) so we had the own house white; all labelled up for the Bahar in their house colours, and very, very nice indeed for a budget wine.

A cherry-infused raki was presented at the end of the meal (no way we could have managed puddings!).

Excellent, slightly off-beat, restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit and the food.
