Not sure were to start, pool bar, not in use, dirty and mouldy. pool full off leaves and dead things, garden overgrow, 5 sunbeds only not that you would want to be out there.. Staff indifferent and quite unhelpfull, with the exception off the head waitress who was very nice and worked very hard as was the only member off staff. Lobby bar not open very often and the girl running it didnt know how to make vodka and coke.. Didnt change our sheets all week, was like sleeping in a sand pit. Dogs barked all night and air con cost 60 euros. Pay abit more and go to a nicer hotel 2 star at best and thats being generous. The gorge walk was lovely and would recommend it .

We arrived and were given the keys to a room with two single beds (when we requested a double with the tour operator), but we were able to swap rooms with no hassle.
The hotel itself is about ten minutes walk from the main centre of Stalis. Stalis has a sandy beach with clear waters, lots of tavernas, shops, etc. The hotel is modern and clean. The swimming pool area is very good - there were only about 26 rooms in the hotel, so we never struggled to get a sunbed and were usually the only ones in the pool! the room has everything you need. I would recomend paying the 5 euros per day for the air con because it is just too hot! Make sure you know how to use the air con... we had it on hot one night by mistake! The TV only had one English channel - world news. It had German MTV which had a lot of english programes with subtitles so you could still watch that sometimes.
Towels were changed every second day and the cleaner did a great job.
In the Evening Manos looks after the hotel. He makes amazing cocktails! He's a lovely guy and made our evenings... well worth a drink and a chat with him!
Theres a supermarket over the road for anything you need.

Overall a fantastic holiday, had an amazing time, Manos makes the hotel!

Just returned from these apartments and have nothing but praise for them. The location is perfect ,away from the crowds but just a few minutes stroll to the middle of all the restaurants ,bars etc.
The rooms are large and comfortable and kept spotless by the cleaner who comes in every second day with fresh sheets and towels. And she's always finished by lunch time if you feel like an afternoon siesta after a hard morning relaxing around the pool and that first pint (or two) of the day.
We had a pool, sea and mountain view, what more could you wish for?
The pool bar has a good menu for breakfast or lunchtime snacks if you don't feel like venturing out and the drinks prices are about the same as you will pay in most restaurants.
The pool is plenty large enough for the size of the complex and there was never a shortage of sunbeds. And the pool was warm.No inching your way in and shivering.
The air con and safe has to be paid for seperately with cash if you require them , I would definately reccomend both,a safe is needed no matter where you are in the world or what class of hotel you are in and the air con was a must as the temp was so high when we was there plus it works really well and made it possible to get a good nights sleep.
Maria who runs the place during the day has the reputation of being a bit scary but she is a real pussycat and will do anything to help you.Manos who runs the bar at night was absolutely brilliant,he made everybody feel so welcome with his friendly banter, and he stays there til the last drinker calls it a night which was often very late.
There is a small road with a main road running alongside outside the front of the hotel/apartments with a supermarket directly opposite. You never have to cross the main road as an underpass will take you to the supermarket. The small road will lead you down to the main beach road .
We had a great time and we were made to feel really welcome as they were all so friendly Thanks to all at the Dias ,Keep up the good work.

We have returned from a week in the Dias Apartments in Stalis where we had a great time. This was mainly due to the superb service we received there from the staff usually Maria & Manos who couldn't be more helpful.
Though the location was quiet, it was only a 10 min. walk to the beach & 15 mins. to loads of bars & restaurants.
The accomodation was very clean, towels & bedding were changed every 2nd day & the pool area was always immaculate.

Great location at the quiet end of Stalis but only a 5 minute walk to the busier main street. Very very clean (the 1 cleaner works very hard all day) and basically brand new. The apartments are massive but tv's are tiny and only 5 channels (4 of which were german). Pool is great if a little cold in May. The views from the apartments are great, we had mountain and sea views. The staff are fairly friendly, just leave them to come round a bit in the mornings. BBQ night was fantastic, 13 euros for salads, pasta salads, bread, chips, 5 different meats and fruit. Drink was fairly expensive though. We had a great time.

The Dias Studios and Apartments are set back about 100m from the main road in a quiet location but with easy access to all the local amenities and beach. Our Studio was spacious, ample cupboards/draws for the two of us, maybe a squeeze for three. There was a kettle and two ring electric hob so self-catering is limited but why bother with so many good restaurants nearby. The Studio was basically spotless and kept clean by the lovely Maria who had always finished by 13.30, no wondering how late she would be in. There was a small pool with ample sun beds for guests. The poolside bar did snacks and was reasonably priced.

Aghia Marina is basically one long road parallel to the beach. Go across the road down onto the beach and turn right, you can then walk along the beautiful sandy shore. The round trip will take about an hour and a half if you go right to the end. Turn left on the road and it is about half an hours walk into the neighbouring resort of Platanias. Here you can extend the choice of restaurants and super markets. Both Aghia Marina and Platanias have ‘old towns’ set back on slightly higher ground.

There is a tremendous choice of restaurants, mostly family run, that have been operating for many years and all offering great quality, and quantity meals, at very reasonable prices. You can wash the meal down with a litre of local wine for 5 – 8 euros. We ate in a number of restaurants and didn’t have a bad meal. Our top three are ;

Manilos – in the old town of Aghia Marina. A lovely little restaurant where you sit under the vines and enjoy traditional food in a relaxed environment

Mitsos – off the main road with great sea views, great food and service

Romantz – just up a side road, next to Romeos which is sign-posted on the main road. Run by three brothers it is in its’ 26th year, the quality of their meat was excellent.

We have been to over a dozen Greek islands but overall we found the Dias and Aghia Marina to probably be the best we have visited.

We stayed in the Dias apartments in may 2010. The apartments are very clean and well maintained with a lovely pool and sea view, Shops and restraints are a ten minuet walk away. The holiday was made extra special by Maria and Mannoses who ran the apartments who made us very welcome and advised us on places to visit. I would recommend these apartments to anyone visiting stalis.
