Hotel Anker provides good, clean and comfortable lodging at a really affordable price (EUR 37 single in off-peak season/EUR 65 double). There's free wifi and the breakfast buffet is well-stocked with a range of meats, cheeses, breads and juices, and on Sundays there are bacon rashers and scrambled eggs. I would definitely suggest it to others because it's in a great location -- in addition to Bad Breisig being a nice town and home to the Romer Thermen baths (http://www.roemerthermen.de/preise.html), there are easy and scenic bike trips along the Rhine and the old Maria Laach church and the walled city of Ahrweiler are 20 minutes away by car.
On the down side, for those of us who don't speak German, I didn't find anyone in the hotel that spoke English (I had to rely on a bilingual friend to handle things). Another problem was that those responsible at the hotel don't seem to respond to emails for reservation requests, so I had to rely on a German-speaking friend already in town to make a reservation in person for me. Though they have nice facilities and an overall good service, unfortunately they are not yet adequately prepared for and geared towards the needs of an international clientele.
