how lucky can you get ? We discovered this restaurant on the river Seine by coincident and we have been there already twice with 3 weeks ! That is the best recommendation.
It is a special place, lunch in the kitchen ( table d'hôte ), the chef is talking about the food, the wine and his team. Excellent french cuisine with seasonal ingredients but the owner is German, comes from Hamburg, and his sous-chefs are German as well, just one young French in the kitchen.
Okay, lets talk about the food, we had the lunch menu for € 98.00 the first time, 7 courses and the matches wine with it as well as an digestive to finish. Good value, excellent food.
Oyster with Champagne sauce
Fois gras ice cream and raspberries
fois gras fried with red cabbage and figs
salmon with bacon sauce and caviar
scallops with black truffle
Cod in white wine sabayon and garlic cream
entrecote with celery-mousse and red wine sauce
Black current soufflé with vanilla ice-cream
we did stay for 3 hours and also our friends were overwhlmed with the quality and hospitality.
In case you can't drive anymore, they have few rooms which are for rent. That's what we will try next time !
