educational for teens doing second world war at school and seeing it first hand makes you respect those young men who landed at these beaches

A great end to a marvelous few days touring the beaches and area. From the Historical Roosevelt House to the other scattered monuments and signs through this region , including the museum, history shows that the landing battle was finally won. Even the beach seemed calmer and more peaceful than the others. We were fortunate to have a great guide taking us through the history of this region, Michael Phillips of DDay Tours.

This place is apparently brilliant... It looked great from the outside but was not open even though the website said it would be. Hauntingly beautiful setting.... We were so disappointed we couldn't get in; especially as we travelled an hour to go there. That said, even a walk down Utah beach is educational, humbling and stunningly beautiful.

This museum is very well done…all the way from its location right on the beach across from the Roosevelt to the lovely collection & fantastic film. There are a lot of videos that have veterans telling their stories, which is a welcome addition.

The only thing missing is guided tours! Maybe they are there, but they're not advertised well. A guided tour of the beach with someone who knows what went on where & can describe it to you would be fantastic & worth the extra price it would cost.

The only negative we found was the Utah Beach book wasn't available in English, they were out of stock..plenty in French, though! (you can order it at amazon, so we can get it when we get home)

This museum, right on Utah Beach, and had no expense spared in the building, the exhibits and the stories it tells. It also gives a greater Naval and Air Force perspective than other museums. It is well worth the journey to this isolated spot. The nearby cafe is cool too if you and electronics fan - lots of radio gear from the war in sparkling condition.
