Having booked a family holiday three months in advance via booking .com with another couple and their young children we were looking forward to a great Easter treat. However a week before departure we received an e mail in french to tell us the resort was now fully booked with no explanation. We rang booking.com who told us we had been "upgraded" to another resort 60Km away with none of the child friendly facilities we required. We e mailed the hotel. No response. We rang booking.com again who told us they had repeatedly rung the hotel on our behalf. No reponse. Needless to say we were devastated at our treatment by the hotel and more importantly the reason for it. As it was Easter all our other options were full. I only hope the family in our duplex enjoyed it! Our holiday was now in tatters as all our plans had been to visit the surrounding area by bike as well as to allow the children to swim in the indoor pool(the alternative hotel you had to be 16).Moral. Be careful what you wish for. P.s.We didn't take the "upgrade". We cut our losses. How's that for customer service.

4 of us (all lads) decided to spend a week going to all the WWII related beaches, cemetries and museums around Normandy and this provided to be a good option as a base. We hired 2 x 2 bedroomed houses next to each other rather than all trying to get into one house - the brochure implied that 4 adults could have fitted into one house, but we are glad we did not do that. The rooms were clean and spacious and the lounge / kitchen area was a good place to plan out the next days routes over a few beers and glasses of French Wine. There were a few negatives - the rooms were not really cleaned throughout the time we were there so it was not so pleasant by the time we left; it was quite a long walk into the nearest town, Port-en-Bessin, which was a bit of a pain and it was also very dark on the roads between the town and hotel. It would have been ideal if we ate at the house the whole time but being 4 lads, we probably would have starved so we made the treck on a few evenings. The town itself was busy during the day and the Sunday market was great, but in the evening it was a bit quiet and options for a drink / something to eat quite limited. We had a car, but it would have been difficult if we did not. Only other minor things were that the designated parking for our house often had someone else parked in it, the swimming pool hours were a bit limited and early morning opening would have bee great and we arrived quite late and getting the passcode to teh safe so we could get our key was a bit difficult due to lack of mobile coverage and language skills when we got through to someone (who kept giving us the wrong code!!) It was possible to pre-order bread at the resort if organized. Overall, we felt it was good value and centrally based and I would stay again.

We spent a week in a one bedroom, 2 bath, 2 level condo. My wife is an early riser and this layout allowed her to go downstairs and get some coffee as I slept a bit later. Location is ideal for exploring the landing beaches. We also made trips to Falaise and Mont St. Michel. Staff is great, very friendly. Wifi is available in the lobby near the pool.this was a nice, comfortable place at a very good price. I'd definitely stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay at Le Green Beach. The grounds were beautiful, and the apartments are clean and lovely with great views of the golf course and surrounding areas.

We stayed in a 1 bedroom unit which included an upstairs bedroom with queen size bed and two daybeds downstairs in the living room area. (The daybeds were comfortable, but the upstairs bed was rather hard and the pillows were in need of an update. We used the extra blankets to help compensate for that.) The unit included two bathrooms - one upstairs and one downstairs with a towel warmer. Linens are included.

The kitchen was well equipped - it even had a full-size dishwasher and recycling bins. Our welcome pack included a sponge, dish detergent, and three dishwasher tablets. We appreciated this thoughtful touch and not having to worry about buying full-size cleaning supplies.

The balcony looked out on the pool and golf course - a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the morning coffee or tea! The outdoor pool was closed for the season, but the indoor pool was open with limited daytime hours while we were out touring. (Evening hours for the pool would be great!)

The location is great as a home base for exploring the D-Day beaches. You are about a 10-minute drive from the American Military Cemetery and Museum (a wonderful starting point) and all the beaches are within an hour's drive. There's a Carrefour shopping center about 10 minutes away in Bayeux - great for food shopping and finding anything you might have forgotten or would like to bring home. And Port-en-Bessein is a charming little fishing village with a great fish market and poignant statue dedicated to those who have perished in the sea - well worth a visit.

This is a lovely location for families but if you are a couple, this isn't the place to stay. We booked in on Friday and had a lovely night's stay, as the resort was virtually empty. The second night, when families arrived, it was a different story. The residences are mini duplexes and the backyards open onto shared open spaces. Children were running around and playing ball in the small area behind our duplex....screaming as children do. The walls are thin and at night, I had a difficult time sleeping as you could hear everything from the ajoining duplexes.

The pictures of the duplexes are deceiving...they are very small. We were in one of the largest duplexes and felt that it would be comfortable for one adult couple and 2 small children.

Because of the size of the duplexes, cleaning for the staff is obviously difficult. There was mould around the bathtub. The walls in the eating area were covered with what appeared to be spilled pop. The front door of the duplex had paint peeling. As I stated this was one of the biggest residences with a fireplace. Don't bother renting this one if you feel like you're going to enjoy a nice fire...it is a very very small fireplace and not positioned well in the house.

Overall, it wasn't too bad...but would be best for families or for a group of men or women that simply want to enjoy a weekend golfing. Definitely not a place for a romantic weekend or a relaxed getaway.

Room Tip: Ask for a duplex that is not connected to any other duplexes at the room level.
