Just had simple steak and chips however it was enough to re inforce my views that in France all food is well cooked. the steak was perfect as opposed to England were we just cannot cook a decent steak.

“Overpriced and boring bland food”
Reviewed August 7, 2012 via mobile

Staying at the hotel for 2 days at the end of our mini French tour we booked a table at the restaurant .
Realising we would be late for our 8pm slot I called reception to say we would be 15 mins late. Was put through to the restaurant who said 'no problem sir'
Arrived at 8.15pm, to be met with puzzled looks. Turns out our table was given to someone else! Waited for a vacant table to be made ready and were basically waved over. Sat for 25 minutes and had to go to the head waiter and ask if we could have service.
Waitress came across, with no hint of an apology and spoke to us in French, as did all the staff. We are English, and only really know a minor ammount of French.
She took our entire order in one go, and we had to ask for a basket of bread (a table that sat down 15 mins after us got bread straight away)
Starters arrived. Veg soup and a salmon mousse for the adults and a salad drenched in balsamic for a 10 year old.
All very average and tasteless.
I would like to add we were never given side plates for our bread, which meant crumbs galore on the table.
Mains arrived, not good. Entrecôte for my partner, and chicken cooked 'Normandy style' for me. Supermarket nuggets for the 10 year old. The entrecôte was fatty, and full of gristle. The chicken leg was from an ASDA value pack of chicken, and covered with a sauce. Veg to accompany was 4 carrot slices and a kg of frozen frites.
Service was abysmal and no one asked if everything was ok during the meal.
Sorely dissapointed. Wine was nice, but overpriced.
Just under 100 euros for a below par meal. The funny thing is, the other dishes being taken to other tables looked fantastic.

“Great Restaurant”
Reviewed August 4, 2012

Ate at this restaurant twice - both times we all had good meals. Foie Gras starter with cavaldos jelly was absolutely stunning. Lots of choice both in fish and meat dishes. Staff very friendly. Lovely views of the gold course.

“Good food, good service reasonable price”
Reviewed June 23, 2012

We ate here during our stay at the Omaha Beach Hotel, where this restaurant is located, The ambience was quiet, the service was well paced, the choice and quality of food was fine, the wine we chose was very pleasant and the price was pretty reasonable.

This was the second time we had used this restaurant (the previous time was on our stay at the hotel last year). An enjoyable and relaxed evening was again had by all in our party.
