A perfect lunch. Situated by the water, the seafood could not be fresher. My wife and our friend both had the seafood soup.and the Pollack. I had the Shellfish platter with crab, oysters, bulot and shrimp. A generous portion of the freshest seafood you can imagine. The pre-fixe lunch with desserts came to $72 euros! What a wonderful find

This restaurant was visited 3 years ago here we got very good food, especially one of the starters was wonderful.
When we had the possibility to visit the same restaurant i could not resist to order the very same starter and with same result. I all together nice experience served very professionally and affordable. A nice place just one street away from the harbour prom.

On a Monday night in Port De Bessin the choice of restaurants is much reduced. However, Le Vauban was open and it was a thorough delight. The menu was mainly fish, but what do you expect in a fishing port. The menu was wasn't too large but it was still difficult to choose. We both had menus and my wife's starters of mussels was a big as a main course in many other establisments! My main course of skate au buerre noisette was cooked perfectly. A cosy restaurant, ffriendly and considerate service. Really good value for money.

This was a very nice restaurant tucked away in a back street in Port en Bessin.

Traditionally decorated, excellent friendly service (luckily we are fluent French speakers). Lovely meal, presented very well on the table.

If you like seafood such as shrimps, fish and lobsters this would be a very good restaurant for you!

Booked in advance for a group of 11 blokes on a golfing weekend, our table was ready when we arrived, and promptly given menus. Good choice of food, but you should really go for the fish, the "Plate of Seafood" as a starter included 1/2 crab, oysters, whelks, cockles, prawns, shrimps, and a very flexible langoustine ! I had scallops for my main course, and a lovely crème brulee for dessert, which were both really good. All of the guys commented on how good the food was, its very good value, and sensible priced wine too. Service was good, and nothing was a problem, will certainly be back again next time we are in Port en Bessin.
