Just what you would expect from an Ibis. Modern, clean hotel. Excellent shower. It's worth paying extra for a room overlooking the working port. Lots of good restaurants and cafes in the village for evening meals and breakfast. The hotel is conveniently situated for visiting the poignant WWII sights in the area - war graves, landing beaches, museums etc.

We felt lucky to enjoy a second floor room with a view of the port and boats and town in the distance.
The room was modern and bright with fairly comfortable furniture.
It was not a huge room but the price felt fair.
The accomodations were perfect for the short time we were there as a spring board to see Normandy.
The breakfast service here was EXCELLENT [an extra charge on your tab, and if you like to eat it was well worth it].
Everything delicious and fresh with plenty of options. Really enjoyed the options and the quality of food there.

Room Tip: We liked having a second floor view of the port. It felt safe to be up higher [in addition to providing even more to see]. It's a quiet area.

This is an outstanding Ibis hotel. It is bright and modern and while the rooms are simple they are comfortable and the ones overlooking the port have a lovely view of the harbour. The staff are excellent, both friendly and extremely helpful. There are many good restaurants within easy walking distance. Port en Bessin itself is a charming working fishing port with its fishing boats constantly coming and going. The location is perfect for exploring the D Day beaches while Port en Bessin itself has interesting memorials on both the headlands and the town.

First time I'd stayed at an ibis hotel .......... I was expecting basic, but not this basic. To give you a better idea, it compares very badly with Premier Inns in UK.
On the good side; location was good, service was fine and the hotel/room was clean.
On the bad side our room was very very very basic (perhaps one more basic would describe it better), bed was hard, TV reception was virtually non existent with picture disappearing and pixelating endlessly (BBC world only UK channel anyway) and at 80 Euros a night for room only (add 18 Euros for continental breakfast for two) was significantly over priced, I would have expected to pay maximum of 60 Euros including breakfast. Won't be staying again!
