When you arrive in Ouistreham and intend to dine before taking the overnight ferry back to Portsmouth you can choose from a variety of restaurants most of which are offering set priced meals. Look no further than this establishment which is located on the corner of Avenue Michel Cabieu and can be seen from the last car park before the ferry port.
We chose the 25 euro menu and were not disappointed. I chose the fruits de mers plate for starter followed by a combination of steak and duck beautifully cooked, cheese and a plate of profiteroles as dessert. My wife enjoyed foie gras, skate wing (which was so tender that it fell from the bone), cheese and a chocolate mousse.
Every course was beautifully presented and the service was crisp yet unobtrusive.
The restaurant has a decent wine list and also provides 50cl pitchers of white, red and rose.
We will definitely be back the next time we visit France.
