When traveling to other countries, we have to remember that US standards are very different. In my travels, I stayed at five different hotels in various parts of Costa Rica. Hotel El Atardecer was a beautiful hotel with amazing food. Their homemade bread was absolutely amazing. The hotel was very comfortable and enjoyable. There is a small down within walking distance and I loved the dogs around the area. The walls are super thin. You will hear everything around you including the rooster. I was so exhausted, this was not a big deal for me. I did not enjoy having no electrical outlets in my room. There are several outside that are available to use. There is Wi-Fi in the dining area and in some rooms. The beds and rooms are not super modern, but acceptable. There is no air conditioning, but at that altitude, it wasn't needed. The food and homemade bread was amazing. I absolutely loved this hotel. It was my favorite of the five I stayed in during my trip.
