Excellent bed & breakfast. Very clean rooms and decent breakfast, which they have 3 options: cereal, eggs to order or pancakes, orange juice, good coffee and fresh fruit. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The only drawback we had was that in the mornings the sun shone through the window, and the room became quite hot very quickly. Also, the WiFi didn't work the first night, but apparently it was an ISP issue, the second day worked very well. Apart from that, it is a very recommendable place to stay.

Anthony (the young owner) was nice and helpful. The basics are fine (warm shower, good mattress, and solid breakfast). Other aspects of our room needed improvement. Should not call itself a B&B (creates a wrong expectation). Guests should be aware that it is close to the heart of Santa Elena, but it is up a steep hill. Plan to taxi back (especially after dark).

went at the end of march. loved this place! staff were so amazingly helpful with everything from booking tours and giving best recommendations to helping us with transport out to our next destination. breakfast was amazing and perfect start to the day! about a 5-10 minute walk into town. in is downhill and the back uphill always gets you out of breathe but its short. rooms were perfect and clean. no a/c but it is not needed in this place.

Anthony and his family showed us true hospitality when my high school students and chaperones traveled to Alajuela this spring break. The food quality was EXCELLENT, the accommodations were clean, comfortable, and perfect for our group. Anthony helped us with recommending excursions and maximized our experience in Santa Elena. Thank you Anthony...we'll be back! --Claire

This is a nice B&B within 15 minutes of the Cloud Forest Reserve - and even closer to many other local attractions. Anthony owns the place and is a good guy who'll help you with any tours you want to do.
