This is not the easiest place to find and if you try to google map it it takes you out of the town. Find the main formation centre on the corner of the triangle centre. Cross the street towards the souvenir shop that has a grocery story inside at the back. Walk past both on the left side, pass the 8 car parking lot towards what looks like ragged cement steps that look like you are going to a dumpster. Look up and you will see the sign Trio.

I ate the sea base ceviche in coconut milk, delicious, and I had their Costa Rica cob salad which was the highlight of my food exploration there. Everything was fresh! Prices are reasonable, I paid 20 bucks,

I ordered a cheeseburger at Trio. It was legendary. They served it with some self made chips and salad. The burger itself was as thick as my little finger is long. It was amazing. The location is a bit hard to find.

This restaurant has an interesting menu and the food is excellent. The service was friendly and the food arrived quickly. Of the four restaurants that we have tried so far in this town, it is by far the best. My chicken sandwich did not look like much but was amazing. It was also quite easy to convince me to go for dessert.
It is too bad that they are hard to find so the place was not busy at all. Even after reading the directions here i only saw the place once I was there.

The decor may not be much but the food is great, with unusual combinations and spices. Their tropical cocktails go great with the nicely spiced food. Friendly and fast service rounds out a nice evening in the Monteverde area. The salad with mango is great as is the ceviche with coconut flavors. Chicken stuffed with figs nd goat cheese with Marsala sauce excellent.
