Apparently we went zip lining during their stormy season, we caught some high winds and rain which made it pretty scary and we couldn’t see a whole lot. We’ve gone zip lining in the US and Jamaica which was much better. We also weren’t prepared to be in 60 degree weather. I would recommend you do just the bridges or tree climbing instead. There are other companies that do ATV tours like 100% adventure and extremo which we wish we would’ve done instead.

The Cloud Forest is an amazing place to visit, we were very lucky with the weather & has some incredible views from the hanging bridges.
The tour was so much fun, our guide was knowledgable & funny but ultimately also very aware of our safety.
We saw several birds/animals & really enjoyed the tour - if you don’t like heights though, good luck....

This was our first time ever zip lining! the guides did a fabulous job explaining the procedures. I was BEYOND nervous and the guides offered to go with me! It was an excellent choice and eased my nervousness! The braking system is geared toward beginners for ease of use! Their knowledge and passion for the area was evident as they explained things unique to Monteverde in between zip lines!

We walked the bridges with an excellent guide. The views were amazing. We did not opt to do the zip line.

Very, very safe.

Good café and well priced souvenir shop on site.

Highly recommended.

Having previously hiked in the Cloud Forest and also crossed the Hanging Bridges, I decided to see the forest from a different angle

When you walk the bridges, they seem high but they definitely aren't. Whilst we didn't get to see Arenal due to the clouds, the remaining view was spectacular - it is a little windy up there but definitely worth a go

We did the zip lining as part of a tour, I am not sure I would have chosen to it.
I am so glad we did. It was torrential rain and as you zip lined the rain stung your face, but it was still awesome. We only did the zip lining and the cable car to the start. The lines were a variety of lengths and heights. The guides were helpful, felt completely safe, there is a nursery line at the start to make sure you are ok.

The end was a complete surprised and we embraced it after some reluctance, I thought it was an optional extra not a means to an end. The views were amazing despite the rain

Guide helpful but not necessary
Take warm clothes and rain coat
It will get cold at top even if you think it’s sunny
Trust me
We didn’t do zip lines as didn’t fancy it
But walk and tram ride good fun and great scenery
Shuttle transfer $5 extra per person

Bilingual staff was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. We enjoyed a walk through the cloud rainforest crossing multiple hanging bridges. Where we learned about and observed Costa Rica’s diverse ecosystem. Then we ziplined though the clouds and canopy, which was a spectacular experience. The sky tram provided an amazing view and was an easy mode of transportation to the first zip line.
