Stayed here for a few nights as a group of friends, was really nice place with a great group atmosphere for travellers, Met some lovely people and was like a family vibe with the free breakfast and buffet dinners!

The huts and the beds themselves a little uncomfortable and get very warm but can deal with it, and very good price!

Great vibes, super tasty food, social people and great location. This hostel is located just out of the touristy area of Unawatuna, but close enough to reach it easily any time you would like to. Sleep in tipis and enjoy the one of a kind kush-life:) Perfect place to get stuck for a while!!

Not very comfortable but thats what you expect from the Jungle. Had some good adventures on the nearby mangrove river. Its very quite and chilly although the bed is just a thin mattress on wood. But again: you have the comfort of nature all around! Great open air showers and good community with a lot of party. Definitely worth a visit!

I stayed almost 2 weeks! this place was my highlight of sri lanka! it is located away from the touristic crowd, with a mangrove forest right upon its doorstep. so much nature and space, and to wake up hearing the different sounds of birds and monkeys for me is a natures lovers paradise! outside showers giving a jungle vibe, and an open communal area which always had a relaxed and easy-going atmosphere to meet other travellers. breakfast and dinner included if you wish, which i highly recommend as the food was always so good! the owner is one of the most kindest and generous person i have met. he will always look out for you, taking care of your needs whatever it may be..with a selfless and compassionate attitude! (i find that this is very rare to meet these days.)
He owns three most beautiful dogs on the campsite that roam freely and loves the warm attention from travellers. The beach is not too far either…i usually walked there in around 20mins.
so to summarise…if you love nature, love like-minded people, love good vibes…then this is definitely the place to stay! i will certainly be back!!!
Thank you Camp Kush! =)

Room tip: The 6 bed dorm is very spacious! =)

Stayed for week, and will come back here for sure. Best dinner in town from what I experienced. Beautiful campsite, natural and simple style, very relaxed atmosphere. The owner is very friendly and you’ll feel at home soon. You‘ll meet great people here who sometimes stay longer and help in the camp.
